Parents Can't Figure Out The Confusing Symbol On An Alphabet Rug

As parents, we are constantly buying things to help our kids learn their ABCs and their 123s. Learning toys and products are the best way to condition our kids to learn what they need to learn, without too much struggle or hassle. That's why we love TV shows that have educational value to them, or even decorative things, too.

One thing we know to be true is that some companies miss the mark.

Sometimes, kid's toys miss the mark completely. They think that they are being clever and smart, but they do things that parents can't seem to agree with or even understand. And, sometimes they make things that just put our kids in a bad spot.

How can our kids understand things that even us parents don't?

How are we supposed to teach our kids to read, or even use things, if we — the adults — can't seem to understand it? Those are the times when I totally think that the baby industry is overpriced and sometimes a bit too much for us to handle.

When people have to turn to the internet to explain things... well, it's a problem.

When something is so confusing to parents that we have to take pictures and ask the millions of people online to explain it to us —well, someone did something rather wrong. Don't you think?

Example number one: this rug shared on Reddit.

Recently, a Reddit user shared a photo to the subreddit "mildlyinfuriating" after having some trouble figuring out the ABCs on a children's rug. As per many kid's toys, there's a picture for each letter, to learn words with that specific letter.

Usually for the ABCs, you have some basics.

A usually stands for Apple or Alligator. Then, B stands for Banana or Bear. C will move to Car or Cat, and so on and so forth. But, as the ABCs go on, sometimes things get a bit more confusing.

The Reddit community has a problem with the letter "U" on this rug.

As all users can see, the images are pretty easy to understand. But, once we hit the letter "U," we're unsure what is even going on. Is it a blob? Is it a snot? What is that even?

People on Reddit started to argue over what it is.

One person said it could be "upchuck" because it clearly looks like someone vomited. It can't be a poop stain because, you know, it's the letter "U." So, we're stuck back to upchuck. Maybe it's that.

Another said it's simply "unknown."

Joking around, one person said that it's "unknown," because clearly, we have no idea what the shape or item even is. The unknown is a great way to explain this mysterious blob that we have absolutely no idea what it is.

Another person wrote on Reddit that it could possibly be an "underwear stain." To be honest, that also makes sense, it looks like a giant poop that was left behind in someone's underwear.

Eventually, someone came up with something that makes sense.

Finally, some people commented on the Reddit post that it could possibly be a sea urchin, however, it's definitely poorly drawn. Sea urchins look kind of like that, but a better version of it. They tried, but they failed a bit.

Someone tell them next time, use an umbrella.

All kids know what an umbrella is. They see it when it rains, they have ones with puppies on it, they get it. Whoever put a sea urchin deserves to walk the plank. No kid knows what an urchin is. No thanks.
