Ariana Grande Reacts to Pictures Raising Weight Loss Concerns

Ariana Grande sends a message of assurance to her fans, declaring that her health is at its finest after they bombarded her recent photographs with comments about appearing "too thin."

Sharing a three-minute video on TikTok on Tuesday, the singer advised her followers to be more conscious of people's feelings before commenting on their appearances.

The 7 Rings singer opened up about being in the "unhealthiest version of my body" in the past, explaining to fans that things aren't always what they seem to be.

She further revealed to have been "on a lot of antidepressants and drinking on them and eating poorly," because of which her health suffered a lot.

Getting candid about her feelings during that time, the Victorious alum said, "[I was] at the lowest point of my life when I looked the way you consider my healthy, but that in fact wasn’t my healthy.”

Although Grande feels that there's no need for her to respond to baseless claims, the purpose of the video is to "maybe having an openness and some sort of vulnerability here, good might come from it.”

The message to fans comes after Grande was spotted making her way to Jeff Goldblum's concert in London, after which they began to comment on her body ruthlessly.

The Into You singer headed to the concert with singer and actress, Cynthia Erivo, with her glam game on and sporting an oversized pink puffer coat.

Soon after the paparazzi photos hit the Internet, fans chimed in with their two cents on the singer's appearance, with one user commenting that she "looks worryingly thin."

Another follower expressed his concern with a comment saying, "Very controversial opinion, but she’s seriously too thin … I’m worried for her.”

Further into the TikTok video, Grande stated that people should be "less comfortable" making others feel uncomfortable by making remarks about their bodies.

The singer-songwriter further stated, "There are ways to compliment someone or to ignore something that you see that you don’t like, that I think we should help each other work towards."

The 29-year-old revealed that the purpose of her rare TikTok memo to fans was that everyone "should aim toward being safer, and keeping each other safer.”

Grande has currently taken a break from singing and is focusing her efforts on her role in the movie adaption of Wicked, starring alongside Kristen Chenoweth, Idina Menzel, Cynthia Erivo, Ethan Slater, Jonathan Bailey, and more.

The Positions singer stated that “healthy can look different” for different people and “you never know what someone is going through.” 

She further instructed fans that “even if you are coming from a loving place and a caring place, that person probably is working on it or has a support system that they are working on it with.”

In the end, the Thank You Next singer guided her followers to “be gentle with each other and with yourselves,” even if their comments are “something good and well-intentioned.”

Grande concluded the TikTok video by spreading love to her fans and said, “I think you’re beautiful. No matter what you’re going through. No matter what weight, no matter how you like to do your makeup these days, no matter what cosmetic procedures you’ve had or not or anything.”

While Grande rarely ever gets candid with her fans, she previously revealed her battle with anxiety and depression alongside PTSD after the explosion at her Manchester concert in 2017 left 22 people dead.
