Big Bang Theory Actress Kaley Cuoco Welcomes Daughter Matilda

At 37 years old, the renowned actress from The Big Bang Theory joyously announced on Sunday the birth of her first child with her partner Tom Pelphery.

Cuoco took to Instagram to announce the arrival of her daughter Matilda Carmine Richie Pelphrey, born on March 30, 2023 and shared adorable pictures of her little one.

"Introducing, Matilda Carmine Richie Pelphrey, the new light of our lives!" the caption reads."We are overjoyed and grateful for this little miracle."

"Thank you to the doctors , nurses , family and friends who have helped us immensely over the last few days," Cuoco continues, adding" We are blessed beyond belief."

Along with the announcement of her daughter's birth, the performer took the opportunity to express her gratitude to her partner, declaring, "@tommypelphrey didn’t think I could fall even more in love with you , but I did."

Kaley made the happy announcement of her pregnancy on Instagram back in October, sharing her excitement for the arrival of her baby girl Pelphrey in 2023 and expressing her love for partner Tom Pelphrey.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the Flight Attendant actress confessed that she had not been studying any parenting techniques before giving birth to her child.

"I have no plan and I've read zero books so that's the type of mom I will be," she revealed.

"All the ways I'm not like a prepper. I'm just not that way. It's gonna be great, I trust the process."

She also added that her mother was extremely thrilled about the idea of becoming a grandmother.

"'My mom is amazing. She has honestly been waiting on a grandchild for, like, 20 years. So she's absolutely thrilled," Cuoco said.

Kaley and Tom met for the first time at a premiere in April 2022, arranged by their agent. They later made their relationship public on Instagram.

During an interview with USA Today, Kaley gushed about meeting Tom and said it was love at first sight.

She also shared that their mutual manager, Andrea Pett-Joseph, set them up because she believed they were a "perfect" match.

"We met at the Ozark premiere (in April), and I was standing with Andrea and Tom walked in, and I heard his voice, and I turned around, and it was like my life was over, or just starting," she said.  

Kaley continued, "It hit me. It was love at first sight. We were immediately connected. I do feel like I've known him my whole life, but I wasn't ready for him. We're ready to build a life together." 

Although it was love at first sight, it wasn't Cuoco's first love as she had been previously married twice before her relationship with Pelphrey.

She was married to Ryan Sweeting (2013-2016) and to Karl Cook (2018-2021.)

Despite experiencing failed relationships in the past, Cuoco didn't lose her faith in love before she met Tom Pelphery.

Pelphrey's unique charm clearly left an impression on Cuoco, as she boldly said in her April 2022 Glamour cover story that she will “never get married again.”

The couple always praises and shows their support for each other's careers, even going as far as traveling across the globe just to be together.

Their relationship was on full display at the 2022 Emmy Awards, as Kaley and Tom took to the red carpet together for the first time since announcing their love to the world in May.

With the arrival of Matilda, the couple is expected to experience even greater happiness and further success in both their personal and professional lives, possibly sharing some humorous parenting stories with their fans along the way.
