TV star Stephen "Twitch" Boss, famous for manning the DJ's wheels on The Ellen DeGeneres Show has passed away. The media personality popularly referred to as Twitch reportedly died by suicide after leaving home in an unusual manner.

Details On DJ Twitch's Death

According to information gathered from the law enforcement agent, authorities had been alerted to an emergency when on Tuesday, December 13, Twitch's wife, Allison Holker rushed into an LAPD station stating a complaint about his absence. Holker had told the authorities in charge that her spouse left home without his car. According to further information, it was unlike the entertainer to leave the house without his car. Things pretty much turned bleak from there as the police tried to piece the whole situation together.

What's Known Of The Star's Death

Authorities relayed that after a short while, at around 11:15 AM, paramedics received a 911 call coming from a hotel in L.A. By the time the medical team got there, Twitch was found unresponsive. He appeared to have slipped into unconsciousness due to an apparent self-inflicted gunshot. Stephen "Twitch" Boss was pronounced dead on the spot. The music pro and dancer was 40 years old.

Holker Has Broken Her Silence On The Heartrending Incident

Twitch's widow, Allison Holker has shared a statement addressing the death of her longtime spouse with whom she shared three children. Holker in a heartrending statement to Us Weekly, announced her husband's passing, as she referred to him as someone who "lit up every room he stepped into." The professional dancer poured out her heart writing:

"He valued family, friends, and community above all else, and leading with love and light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans.”

She continued by penning that his positive impact and legacy would live on as the family vowed to continue honoring him. Holker concluded by stating that she would always "save the last dance" for the late performer.

Twitch and Holker became man and wife back in 2013 and welcomed two children, Maddox, 6, and Ziaa who is 3. Twitch was stepdad to Holker's daughter Weslie, from an older relationship.

Twitch first came into the limelight in the 2000s when he appeared on the reality TV show, So You Think You Can Dance in its third and fourth seasons. He won the show in 2007 and returned as an All-Star dancer. In 2014, he joined The Ellen DeGeneres Show showbiz team as the in-house DJ. He and TV icon Ellen DeGeneres met three years earlier in 2011 when she wanted to do a dance on SYTYCD.

During one of the final episodes of DeGeneres' long-running show, she noted she and Twitch bonded over learning to dance. The star revealed how he was patient with her, and that was why she liked him. DeGeneres is yet to publicly address the heartbreaking incident.
