Singer-Songwriter and famous daughter of the late Elvis Presley, Lisa Marie Presley, is dead at 54. According to the L.A. County Sheriff's Office, the late actress died of a heart attack despite medics responding to a distress call.

The paramedics went to Lisa Marie's residence area, at the 5900 block of Normandy drive in Calabasas and started the emergency response. They performed CPR on her before transferring Lisa Marie to the hospital for immediate care.

Priscilla asked for prayers as the medics worked on keeping Lisa Marie alive. Unfortunately, the Lights Out singer didn't make it. Her family confirmed her passing in exclusive statements later that night.

Her mother, Priscilla Presley, 77, confirmed her death in a statement to PEOPLE Jan. 12. The actress is heartbroken over this loss, yet she put on a brave face to announce,

"It's with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us."

Priscilla further described her late daughter as,

"The most passionate, strong and loving woman," she's ever known while requesting privacy to grieve and mourn the loss. Beyond the blanket statement, Priscilla gave nothing else up.

"There would be no further comments for now."

Becoming The Sole Heir To Elvis' Estate

Lisa Marie lived in L.A. with her mother, Priscilla, since she was 4, following her parent's divorce in 1973. The famous couple had her nine months after their 1968 celebrity wedding in Tennessee before splitting up about five years later.

Before her death, the singer-songwriter often had good stories and memories of her relationship with Elvis. Lisa Marie said he was an exciting man who was always ready to sing to her.

Within four years of Lisa Marie and Priscilla moving to L.A., the legendary Elvis died, and by 1980, Lisa Marie lost her grandfather and great-grandmother, making her the sole heir to Elvis' estate and fortune.

Marriages, Divorces, And Children

Lisa Marie married four times in her lifetime and had four children. Her first marriage to Danny Keough (1988 - 1994) saw her welcoming her famous daughter, Riley Keough, and son, Benjamin.

Following her 1994 divorce from Keough, Lisa Marie married the late Michael Jackson in 1994 but divorced him in 1996. They didn't have any children together.

In 2002, the singer-songwriter married famous actor Nicolas Cage whom she met through her ex-fiancé, John Oszajca. Lisa Marie and Cage's marriage lasted four months before they separated.

The singer-songwriter's last marriage was in 2006 to Michael Lockwood, and it lasted the longest until they finalized their divorce in 2021. She had twin daughters, Harper and Finley, with Lockwood.

Another Great Loss In The Family

Sadly, the Presley-Keough family suffered a great loss in 2020 when Benjamin (Riley's brother) died by suicide on his 28th birthday. He was a singer like his mother and grandfather and Elvis' only grandson.

Lisa Marie's Instagram statement following the loss said her heart and soul went with her child, but she stayed strong for her daughters.

She's survived by her daughter, Riley, Harper and Finlay, and mother, Priscilla.
