Jenna Ortega, who starred on Wednesday, opened up about what it's like to make a horror movie, and the answer may leave you feeling let down because not many people would have that perspective.

In an interview with Jimmy Fallon, the 20-year-old actor revealed some behind-the-scenes details.

"I love horror films, I don’t know what it is about having blood thrown on your face and running around screaming bloody murder," Ortega said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

"It really is so therapeutic, so much fun."

Well, in case you think Jenna is the only one that enjoys shooting scream movies, she cleared it up as she added, "Everyone who works on horror sets loves horror. People do special effects because they grew up loving gore," the Wednesday actress said.

Not As Bad As It Looks

But that's not the only information, as Jenna clarified on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. She also revealed that even though they would be portraying some extremely gruesome subjects, Ortega claimed the atmosphere on set is completely different.

The finest aspect of working for scream films, she said, is that everyone there becomes family and never takes anything personally.

Her Role In 'Wednesday'

Jenna Ortega plays the lead role. She is setting out on an adventure in her newest high school, The Nevermore Academy while donning the sparkling black shoes of Wednesday Addams. Wednesday, now older and at the stage where a girl only thinks about murder, has to contend with latent psychic talents, a killer monster, and other people.

Where You Have Seen Jenna Before

Ortega has large shoes because viewers adored Christina Ricci's prior portrayal of Wednesday in the two Addams Family films from the 1990s. But did she possess it as well? She did because it propelled her career to the next level.

However, before starring in the Tim Burton-produced comedy series, Jenna played various roles in many outstanding TV programs and motion pictures.

She appeared in the nearly equally gloomy television series You when she became entangled in Joe's deadly pranks. After getting into quite a few horror movies, Jenna was cast in The Babysitter: Killer Queen, Insidious: Chapter 2, and the Scream relaunch.
