Will Ferrell is that friend we all need in our high moments, as proven by his actions during Octavia Spencer's Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony. After years of industry influence, the actress received a star on the famous boulevard.

The duo linked up for the holiday movie Spirited last year and forged a lifelong friendship. As is common for celebrities receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Spencer invited her friends to share the happy moment.

See what the heckler said and Ferrell's response below

Heckler Attempts To Steal The Attention

Spencer teared up while making her acceptance speech as she thanked her friends for being there throughout her career. Mid-speech, she joked about keeping her makeup pretty so she won't mess up her pictures.

While that intimate moment was funny, a heckler yelled at her and tried to steal her attention, saying Hollywood's Walk of Fame was celebrating rich people. The heckler replied to Ferrell, who said it was a beautiful day to celebrate Spencer.

The man replied, "A Beautiful day to celebrate rich people!"

Ferrell And Spencer Fire Back At The Heckler

Immediately Ferrell clapped back at him proving that his wit isn't reserved for the screen only.

"Not on Octavia's day! Keep it moving! The Wax Museum is down there! That thing is wide open. He's got powerful lungs. He's using his diaphragm. Louder, please. They can't hear you in El Hombre!"

Crisis averted. Ferrell switched gears and praised his friend, saying she makes everyone better. Spencer also stood up for herself, calling the heckler Satan and refusing to let him ruin her special moment.

Other friends in attendance included Allison B. Janney, Lupita Sanchez Cornejo, and Councilmember Mitch O’Farrell, who all gave speeches about Spencer. The actress then took a short trip down memory lane, saying it took her 15 years to become an overnight sensation.

Spencer used her story to advise her Instagram followers never to give up on their dreams. In her words, preparation meets opportunity, so they should continue doing their part and get ready for their success stories.

'Spirited' Is Now Streaming On Apple TV+

Ferrell and Spencer star in Spirited alongside another comedic genius, Ryan Reynolds, which was a modern musical take on the classic A Christmas Story. Ferrell embodied Scrooge from the Charles Dickens Christmas classic while Reynolds was Clint Briggs, and Spencer was Kimberly, Clint's assistant.

If you love musicals and witty banter, you'd love this movie. Also, it had a big budget of $75 million, so you know the production is top-notch.
