Aubrey Plaza had our attention two days ago when she arrived at the Governors Ball in a striking blonde hairstyle. Since she came on the scene, the actress favored dark hairstyles, from black to brown-black and occasionally light brown.
So, this new old Hollywood glam came as a shocker! Last month, she attended The White Lotus season two premiere in a red cutout dress with her dark hair down. We suspect the new look is for a new movie role, and if that's true, we're excited for what's to come.
Plaza decked out in a black halter-neck dress with a plunging V-neckline and backless style stopping right above her butt. The column dress had a matching thigh-high slit on the revealing front parts of her toned, long legs and freshly manicured red toes sitting on black stiletto platform sandals.
The actress matched her toe polish with her nails and matte red lipstick while she paired her stiletto sandals with a black clutch purse. She wrapped the statement blonde hair in a neat low bun with a slight bump on the front, highlighting her silver earrings.
Plaza's look impressed hundreds of people, including her The White Lotus co-star, Jennifer Coolidge, who left a sweet comment on her Instagram post. She wrote,
"Extra Extra Hot!! Wowie!! Blondie!!"
Coolidge congratulated Plaza on her new film before sending her cheers, hearts, hugs, and kisses.
We feel the same way too! The new movie in question could be Megalopolis which is still filming, or The Ark and the Aardvark, already in post-production, or Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre coming in January 2023.
Plaza is booked and busy for the next couple of months, but we're enjoying her performance as Harper in Mike White's HBO series. Speaking to Glamour Mag, the 38-year-old confessed that she's more like Harper than she'd like to admit.
Exploring her reason for being uptight came easy for Plaza, who said,
"That part, maybe more than any other part I’ve played, is really personal to me. I think he [Mike White] really tapped into something unconsciously about me."
Besides blowing our minds on screen, Plaza's red carpet appearances recently have been top-tier. She tapped into her old Hollywood glam vibe for the premiere last month, wearing a red cutout dress with matching stiletto sandals.
Unlike the Governors Awards, where she wrapped her hair into a bun, Plaza let it down in a bouncy curl embracing the spirit of the vacation series.
