Fast Food Employee Assembling Chili Dog Without Gloves On Is Sparking Debate

If you've ever worked in fast food, you don't need me to tell you how difficult it is. It's a job that you can really only understand if you've lived it. Experienced it. Sweat through it. If you've never spent a period of time smelling like a bath of grease, I can't relate to you. I always have the utmost patience when it comes to fast food employees — it's only right!

However, as with many jobs, there are times when you need to be thinking about the customer, especially when it comes to hygiene.

Now, one fast good employee is going viral for preparing someone's chili dog with their bare hands.

Now look, I'm not finicky. I have food habits that some may even consider gross, so my judgement on this issue cannot be trusted.

The 15-second clip shows a Wienerschnitzel employee preparing a chili dog with her bare hands.

The first employee puts the hot dog in a to-go container before another worker, who also is not wearing gloves, puts shredded cheese on top of the dog.

“Wienerschnitzel has 24 hours to respond," the user captioned the photo.

The video has sparked debate, with many people siding with the fast food employee.

"even when they wear gloves, they touch other things & don't change the gloves or wash them," wrote one viewer.

"I don't know how many times I can say this, gloves are an illusion of cleanliness. I'd rather have bare hands touching my food over gloves," said another.

"I was in culinary school for 2 years. Gloves are for RTE. (ready to eat food) he should have worn gloves," argued a different user.

"even if they cleaned their hands before touching the food, you always handle ready to eat food with GLOVES," pointed out someone else.

Well, it's safe to say as long as the hands dealing with my food are washed, this is nothing to be alarmed about!
