Decor Hack From TikTok Uses Command Strips To Create An Elegant Gallery Wall

I can't tell you how many times in my life command hooks and strips have saved the day. Over the years, the command brand has come out with even more products so that all us low-key decorators can hang things up without having to break out the drill and screws.

Now, one decor hack is showing us a new way to use command strips for an easy and elegant gallery wall.

Renters know the importance of command strips.

99% of my house is held up by command strips, I swear. They're the perfect thing to make sure you don't lose your security deposit, you know?

This gallery wall takes command strip use to another level.

TikTok user @themartinezcasita put command strips to good use with this one! She attached a command strip to the inside of a wall sconce and a puck light.

She then popped the puck light inside the sconce.

This is the perfect way to add light to a room without having to do any wiring! Not only is a puck light super easy to use, many come with remotes that change their colors!

She wasn't done with the command strips, though.

She used more 16lb command strips to hang up her wedding photos! She used three strips each on the frames. I would recommend putting one on the bottom, too.

Up they went on the wall.

I have to say, using a level as a picture frame spacer is a galaxy brain idea. After she was sure it was level, she made sure they were pressed firmly to the wall.

The sconces got mounted, too.

This step might require command strips if you have a super strict landlord, but most will allow some minor holes for things like this! It's less damage than installing wiring, after all.

The finished product is stunning.

How good does this gallery wall look? Everything is spaced perfectly, and those lights go so well with the black in the frames. If you skip the light step, this wall would have zero holes and zero damage!

Here are some details on what she used:

The scones came from Amazon, which I tracked down. You can find them here! You can also get the puck lights on Amazon (for less than she paid) here.

You can watch the whole TikTok here.

Check out the whole process and see how she put the wall together! I think it looks amazing — I'm thinking of getting some of those sconces for my house!
