Unlikely Finds People Were Nice Enough To Post Online For Us To See

When these Redditors made odd discoveries that completely blew them away, they knew they couldn't just keep their impressive finds to themselves. Instead, they shared them with the rest of the internet, and boy are we glad that they did.

From a suspicious ant meeting one homeowner discovered outside their dwelling to an angry french fry that refused to be eaten, these incredible finds are sure to make your day brighter.

These lettuce Christmas trees.

"If you don't harvest your lettuce in time, it'll start to look like Christmas trees," explains the Redditor who snapped the adorable lettuce towers.

They then went on to reassure other users confused as to whether these 'trees' can be harvested at this point in their growth that the leaves are still very much edible, although quite bitter.

However, if a person chooses not to collect the lettuce, they can continue to let the plant grow unit they're able to harvest its seeds.

Lights above bathroom stalls indicate vacancies.

Sure, a nob above a door handle that reads vacant when the stall isn't in use is definitely, well...useful. But how cool are these red and green lights that clearly indicate when a bathroom is available and when it's not?

This will certainly prevent any awkward incidents of walking in on someone answering nature's call because you assumed the stall was empty.

Mutant strawberries.

Someone should give Charles Xavier a call because these spikey strawberries that have grown appendages are clearly mutants.

We're sure Professor X would be able to uncover their special abilities and enlist them into the X-Men even if the Redditor who posted these berries said they have yet to develop any powers.

The secret ant meeting someone stumbled upon.

"Came out this morning to ants in a circle. Wondered if they might be planning their next mission into the house…" writes the Redditor who discovered the suspicious gathering outside their home.

Yup, it definitely seems to us that these insects are plotting something we can only assume is highly classified.

This single mushroom growing out of a baseboard.

"There is a mushroom growing from the carpet of the hotel I’m staying at," says the Redditor who posted the startling discovery online.

It wasn't long before other users took notice of the bizarre find.

"I bet there’s a lot more if you pull off that gross baseboard," adds Redditor brerid8 in the comments.

Yeah, we're willing to bet the same. In fact, there's probably fungi behind that entire wall but it certainly won't be a fun time ripping them all out.

A pair of ducks heading to their honeymoon.

Okay, so we don't actually know if these little ducks are married and all rationality points to their marriage being very unlikely...for obvious reasons.

But it's undeniable how much these adorable aquatic birds look like a bride and groom. The white duck even seems to be rocking a styled high bun, which is such a classic look for a wedding.

Who actually buys this many watermelons?

Reddit

You may have plenty of questions about this pick-up truck that's carrying an insane amount of watermelons. And we're here to say that we don't have any of the answers, sorry!

But what we can confidently say is that we finally laid eyes on the infamous bulk buyer common to high school math problems.

The teeny-tiny frog that almost went unnoticed.

"I found it while mini golfing [sic] yesterday. One of the fountain pools also had hundreds of tiny tadpoles in them," shares the Redditor who impressively spotted the little guy. "They were bigger than this frog still."

Perhaps, this tiny amphibian was just an adorable anomaly among its normal-sized brethren of tadpoles. And we're so glad the original poster took a picture of it and shared the sweet creature with the rest of the internet.

This angry french fry that *really* doesn't want to be eaten.

Does anyone else see Oogie Boogie from The Nightmare Before Christmas when they look at this fry? Okay, maybe just us.

But those angled, menacing eyes and that wide disapproving frown just screams an evil burlap sack of bugs.

An exclaiming sign from a higher, divine power.

If the Redditor who posted this photo asked the universe for a sign about a dilemma they're having, this is certainly it.

You can't get any more clear than a light beam literally forming an exclamation point on your floor!

The yolkless egg that's completely white.

"You didn’t think all those double yolk eggs happened for free did you?" says madeInNY under the post.

We'll be honest, they almost had us fooled until we read another comment that explained how an all-white egg comes to fruition.

"Occasionally chickens lay small yolk-less eggs known as fairy eggs, wind eggs, fart eggs, etc," says user MrBlahg. "I’d imagine the egg above is no bigger than an inch."

How interesting!

What are the chances of triple double-yolk eggs?

Seemingly, the chances were quite good for this Redditor who discovered not one, not two, but three eggs that all have double yolks.

But how exactly does a double-yolk egg happen? Well, according to the Egg Safety Center, a double yolk in an egg occurs "when a chicken releases two yolks into the same shell."

This is much more common in young chicken who can periodically release two yolks as their reproductive systems are still developing

This cereal eater that won the chocolate jackpot.

"The only sad thing 'bout this is that some other person has to have only 1 or 2 chocolate pieces in his package," writes Redditor Natsu_Zoidic under the thread.

And they certainly have a point, albeit unfortunate for the person that had to deal with virtually zero chocolate in their cereal box. How woeful is that!

The suspicious printing mistake at an optometrist's office.

Was this just a simple printing mishap or is the blurry consent form some type of a dubious eye test?

Some Redditors are leaning towards the latter.

"Nah, doc is just trying to drum up more business. 'Oh, you can’t even read this form? Your prescription must need a major update,'" user ripplerider writes, and they do make a compelling point.

Mr. Clean is glitching out.

Multi-surface cleaner? More like "multi dimensional [sic] cleaner," as Redditor sunken_grade describes the printing mishap on the label of this Mr. Clean bottle that looks like a glitch.

The infamous cleaning icon is clearly feeling the power of his own scrubbing strength that is making him have a literal out-of-body experience. Now that's impressive!

A woolly rhino decked out to fit the times.

This prehistoric exhibit in Sheffield, England proudly displays a woolly rhino that's been adorned in an accessory fitting for 2021 — a rhino-sized face mask.

But not everyone thought putting a surgical mask on the prehistoric creature was a fun idea.

"Go to an exhibit to learn about these extinct species, but not able to actually see the whole thing. And the masks needn’t be a statement or a virtue signal," shares Redditor whatshamilton under the post.

Can we get a yikes!

Snacks on a plane perfectly match these passengers' books.

"That blue is close, but the orange is uncanny. Like they used the same batch of ink, the same printer, at the same temp and humidity," shares a Reddit user under the post who's arguably just as bewildered by the coincidence as we are.

The original poster spotted the comment among the hundreds of others and replied his agreement to the statement, "Agreed, the blue is slightly off."

The adorable cat that sleeps standing up.

Have you ever witnessed a cat who sleeps in a position that makes it look like it's exploring dreamland while standing up? Well congratulations, now you have!

This adorable feline appears 'purrfectly' cozy as it catches some Z's on a carpeted staircase landing. It may be quite the odd sight, but we're so happy its owner snapped a pic of the sweet sight.

This dentist's office bathroom with a sense of humor.

I've spend five years trying to decide what sort of art is "appropriate" for a bathroom without being cliche, and props to this perfect solution.

Instead of a generic landscape, this bathroom features a photo of...this bathroom. Which also includes a photo of this bathroom.

This dropped headphone that pulled a bunch of iron bits from the sand.

I feel itchy just thinking about my earbud being covered in sand, but it's pretty cool to see how much iron the little magnetic part of the headphone was able to attract.

Please, just wash that earbud thoroughly before putting it back in your ear, thanks.

Airplane food at the supermarket.

The pandemic caused a lot of upheaval in every industry, but who would have thought that airline food could keep being made and sold when nobody was traveling?

Finnish airline Finnair did, and by doing so, kept their kitchen staff employed through the pandemic.

Yay for more companies breaking gender stereotypes!

This brand of diapers from Sweden doesn't have the cliche smiling mom and baby. Instead, it showed a doting dad sharing some skin-to-skin contact with his newborn. D'aww!

A rainbow road ready for Mario to race on.

Freshly-paved roads reflect sunlight in a very cool way and this one was lit just right for the view through polarized lenses to look straight out of Mario Kart.

When the bank printer has a bit of a glitch.

"My bank sent me 64 copies of the same debit card," explained Redditor PTRFRLL.

I'm pretty sure they only needed one. Two, maybe, if it's a joint account.

For a short period of time each day, this person's peephole creates a rainbow.

I don't know if the commenter who said that peepholes are shaped to do this on purpose — so that the light is dispersed enough to not set something in you house on fire — is right or not, but I still wouldn't want to put my eye up to that.

"Fun fact, a U.S military mortar will fit in a dog toy launcher."

Technically, that's a rifle grenade, but that's not really the point of how well this fits the definition of "mildly interesting."

Like, someone happened to have a rifle grenade lying around and decided to see it if fit in their dogs' toy launcher. Cool. Coolcoolcool.

A bullet found in this piece of lumber.

What would you do if you found a bullet fragment in a slab of wood you just purchased from a lumber mill?

Well if you're like this Reddit user, you'd take a picture and post it on the internet for people to marvel at.

But marveling isn't the only response from Redditors. Many others are plagued with curiosity as to how the bullet ended up there in the first place. And some were just there to slip in a good pun.

"Now it's a bulletin board," adds user Cayde_Alternative. Indeed it is!

This McDonald's sign is missing its iconic arches.

According to the comments, this store is located in St. Catherine's, Ontario and it's been like this for a long time.

I couldn't find any reason why the arches are missing, but you'd think the company would fix something like that more quickly.

It feels so cool to win a ton of tickets in one arcade game.

It feels less cool to be standing there watching them print for ten minutes. This Redditor decided to multitask by putting the end into the redemption machine and having the tickets redeem while they print.

He probably has enough tickets for a very cool bouncy ball.

This soapy incident that occured on a walk.

Have you ever gone for a walk and got caught up in the rain? If so, you were likely soaking wet when you finally made it back home.

What you probably didn't experience was being covered in soap from the waist down like this Redditor whose pants started producing soap after they were drenched by heavy rain.

"That's a weird way to wash your shoes," shares another Reddit user who's likely confused yet intrigued by the soapy mishap — as are we!
