Here's Why Trolls Went After Carrie Underwood For Posting This Margarita Picture

Carrie Underwood usually keeps a pretty low profile when it comes to her family. She shares the occasional update or cute photo here and there, and is rarely the target of mom-shamers who attack other celebrities.

However, some judgemental commenters decided to mom-shame Carrie after she posted a harmless Cinco de Mayo photo. Luckily, her fans were there to back her up.

Country superstar Carrie Underwood welcomed her second son in January 2019.

Fans were excited to hear that Carrie's family was growing and that her four-year-old son, Isaiah was a big brother.

In the past, Carrie has spoken openly about how she had trouble conceiving after her first pregnancy.

The pregnancy came after a number of tragic miscarriages for Carrie and her family. Her baby boy was a little miracle for the family and they named him Jacob Bryan.

Now, she's giving us some adorable mom and baby updates on social media.

She shared this too-cute picture of Jacob's toes. Is there anything more precious than baby toes? I don't think so!

She also opened up about she was struggling to accept her postpartum body.

Carrie is a huge fitness advocate and lives a very active lifestyle.

She revealed in an Instagram post that she was having a hard time "bouncing back", but vowed to focus on the positive aspects of her health and body.

Amazingly, the online mom-shamers have left Carrie alone, but they couldn't wait to jump on her when she posted this Cinco de Mayo pic.

In the photo, Carrie appears to be sipping on a margarita and celebrating Cinco de Mayo in style.

People assumed that she was "drinking and breastfeeding" which is problematic for a few reasons.

First of all, we don't know if there's even any alcohol in that drink. It could be a virgin cocktail. Secondly, breastfeeding women can have small amounts of alcohol without it affecting their breastmilk.

This information didn't stop people from commenting and judging.

When did people get so judgemental? Can't a mom just enjoy a drink and be left alone? Sigh.

Thankfully, a number of Carrie's fans defended the singer.

These fans know that it is safe for a breastfeeding woman to have a drink, and furthermore, we don't even know if she is breastfeeding.

The moral of this story is please keep any judgemental comments to yourself before going after a celeb mom. Her fans will come for you.
