'The Queen's Gambit' Fans Are Noticing A Hidden Costume Detail

If you're a fan of the Netflix series The Queens Gambit you're probably becoming obsessed with chess, amirite?!

Anya Taylor-Joy stars in the series as an orphaned chess prodigy, Beth Harmon. The Cold War-era period piece follows the story of a woman's quest to become the greatest chess player in the world.

Now, fans are noticing a hidden detail in Anya's wardrobe that is making them love the show even more!

The show takes place in the Cold War Era, meaning it features a lot of rocking sixties fashion.

Anya Taylor-Joy's character Beth has the most amazing outfits. Seriously, half the reason I watched the show was for the outfits!

Netflix knows how in-love fans are with the show's wardrobe design, so they let fans in on a little secret!

Taking to Twitter, the streaming service explained that the costume designer, Gabriele Binder, "masterfully used plaids and checks to evoke chess boards throughout the series."

Understandably, everyone's mind was blown!

"It’s all in the details. Simply astonishing and exquisite in every way. Truly well thought about. The best series I’ve seen in forever," raved @Duarte1Marco.

"Everything about this show was fantastic. From the set design, to the costumes, to the plot and the dialogue. I loved everything about it!" agreed @oddwatt.

Fans were also noting Beth was dressed like a LITERAL WHITE QUEEN in the final scene.

To be able to weave the plot into the costume design is truly incredible!

I hope Gabriele wins an Academy Award!
