There's a belief held by a lot of people out there that for every person on this planet, there's at least one doppelganger out there who looks identical — How I Met Your Mother even had a whole plotline about this!
One fan thought she might've found Jimmy Kimmel's, but it was a frankly hilarious case of mistaken identity.
It started with a close-up of their face with text that asked "Why is Jimmy Kimmel on my train right now?"
However, by the time her next picture was posted, she seemed to have thought better of the comparison.
Of course, this case of mistaken identity quickly caught the attention of the Internet, and their tweet started gaining a lot of traction with lots of people laughing at the relatable moment where you think you might've seen a celebrity and get too excited too quickly.
"I just jumped on the track," Jimmy tweeted.
Many people replied to Jimmy's tweet pointing out that it may be an even worse case of mistaken identity that originally thought, with lots of people saying it looked like they might've meant a different late night talk show host named Jimmy.
Either way, the tweet is definitely hilarious, and we hope both the original tweeter and the guy on the train are enjoying their fifteen minutes of fame!
