One of Hollywood’s most awaited talk shows, The Late Late Show With James Corden, is coming to an end and, with it, the show’s most-watched segment of Carpool Karaoke. As James Corden bids farewell to his Carpool Karaoke journey of 7 years, he hits the road one last time with his favorite gal pal, and the two break down while singing along to some of Hollywood’s top hits.

The final episode of James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke is all set to air on Thursday, April 27, as he takes one last lap around Los Angeles with Adele sitting behind the wheel.
As the show comes to an end, the talk show host teamed up with the Hello singer to recreate the viral first episode of Carpool Karaoke which aired in 2016.
The ride, which started with jokes, soon took an emotional turn as the pals took a look back at their friendship and Corden’s 8-year journey as the celebrated host of The Late Late Show With James Corden.
The episode begins with Adele showing up at Corden’s house to get things rolling and ultimately ends up behind the wheel as Corden occupies the passenger seat.
As the final Carpool Karaoke ride hits the roads, the two friends joke about Adele’s dubious driving skills, with the 34-year-old singer commenting, “I'm actually not a brilliant driver, so… I also can't sing without closing my eyes.”
The When We Were Young singer even joked about her near crash, saying, “I can't believe I just pulled out of your drive and nearly crashed."
The two stars share a history of a tight-knit friendship with Adele sharing her feelings of being “nervous” and “very very sad” upon hearing the news of Corden moving to England with his family.
Commenting on her friendship with Corden, Adele said, “You're one of my best friends in the whole world. I'm gonna miss you so much,” before breaking into tears.
While the singer would very much love to relocate with her best friend, she explained, “I'm just not ready to come back [to England], otherwise, I would come back with you."
In an attempt to uplift the atmosphere, the teary-eyed talk show host assured Adele that their friendship “has nothing to do with distance and time."
Taking a break from their sentimental exchange, the two amplified the mood by singing along to songs such as Rolling In the Deep, I Drink Wine, Hometown Glory, Love Is A Game, and Don’t Rain On My Parade.
Looking back on some of his favorite memories from the show, which included karaoke sessions with Mariah Carey and Stevie Wonders, Corden exposed a prank he pulled on Adele, which was never aired.
The original plan was to have an animated bear on the loose and question the Skyfall singer about the animal. However, Adele’s assistant spotted Corden’s hidden camera and thus informed the singer about a potential prank in place, leading to the whole plan being called off.
Adele even informed viewers how a six-hour-long conversation with Corden was the inspiration behind the first line of her song I Drink Wine.
Talking further about the exchange, Adele stated, “I remember I said to you on the way home, 'What's wrong?' You just seemed down. And you let it all out to me, and we were having what a six-hour conversation about it?”
The Someone Like You singer took the moment to thank Corden and his wife for their support during her divorce from ex-husband Simon Konecki.
Corden expressed disbelief at the way Adele picked the exact emotions he was feeling and included them in her song, “it's the greatest privilege that from something, from a conversation so honest between two friends that you would create such a thing, that blows my mind.."
With the ride coming to an end, the two friends broke into tears once again as the reality of being separated from one another sank in, although Corden tried to keep the atmosphere lively by reminding Adele that the two had planned to meet the next day.
Expressing his gratitude to Adele, Corden said, “This is my last-ever time that I'll do this, and it's blown my mind that you've done this for me. I love you, and we have had the best times here."
