One of Hollywood’s most awaited talk shows, The Late Late Show With James Corden, is coming to an end and, with it, the show’s most-watched segment of Carpool Karaoke. As James Corden bids farewell to his Carpool Karaoke journey of 7 years, he hits the road one last time with his favorite gal pal, and the two break down while singing along to some of Hollywood’s top hits.

The final episode of James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke is all set to air on Thursday, April 27, as he takes one last lap around Los Angeles with Adele sitting behind the wheel.

Recreating The Viral Moment

As the show comes to an end, the talk show host teamed up with the Hello singer to recreate the viral first episode of Carpool Karaoke which aired in 2016.

An Emotional Ride

The ride, which started with jokes, soon took an emotional turn as the pals took a look back at their friendship and Corden’s 8-year journey as the celebrated host of The Late Late Show With James Corden.

As the final Carpool Karaoke ride hits the roads, the two friends joke about Adele’s dubious driving skills, with the 34-year-old singer commenting, “I'm actually not a brilliant driver, so… I also can't sing without closing my eyes.”

Looking back on some of his favorite memories from the show, which included karaoke sessions with Mariah Carey and Stevie Wonders, Corden exposed a prank he pulled on Adele, which was never aired.

A Failed Prank

The original plan was to have an animated bear on the loose and question the Skyfall singer about the animal. However, Adele’s assistant spotted Corden’s hidden camera and thus informed the singer about a potential prank in place, leading to the whole plan being called off.

Adele even informed viewers how a six-hour-long conversation with Corden was the inspiration behind the first line of her song I Drink Wine.

Corden expressed disbelief at the way Adele picked the exact emotions he was feeling and included them in her song, “it's the greatest privilege that from something, from a conversation so honest between two friends that you would create such a thing, that blows my mind.."

With the ride coming to an end, the two friends broke into tears once again as the reality of being separated from one another sank in, although Corden tried to keep the atmosphere lively by reminding Adele that the two had planned to meet the next day.
