Rebel Wilson Makes Fabulous Reappearance in Recycled Oscars Dress

Rebel took to her Instagram page on Monday to share her recycling step in a video. The actress looked all dolled up for the awards night. "Oscars 2023. Sustainably re-wearing my @jasonwu dress from the Oscars a few years ago," she captioned the video.

The Senior Year star's dress was a custom shimmering off-the-shoulder gown. She accessorized with Simon G. jewelry and a rainbow clutch purse by Kurt Geiger. 

The comedian, who is also a member of the LGBT community, perhaps accessorized with the purse as a nod to the LGBT flag after she launched the "label-free" queer dating app Fluid.

The beautiful mom of one first wore the same dress at the 2020 Vanity Fair Oscars party, where she took to the stage to present an award. 

Rebel originally wore the dress that year just after embarking on the journey to lose weight and become healthier.

Rebel disclosed on the red carpet in 2020 that she never expected to fit into the dress. She also revealed that she had to have her bra sewn into the gown. However, whatever alterations she made to the gown this year is unknown. 

Fans of The Bridesmaids star took to the comments section to share their opinions. Many applauded her for repeating her wardrobe two years later. "Yessssss to re-wearing! And looking incredible 😍😍😍😍," one fan commented on her post.

Another fan of The Hustle actress claimed that it would have been a waste of a good dress if the actress never wore it again and added that they loved the outfit. 

Meanwhile, another one of Rebel's fans made a key suggestion about child labor and greenhouse effects. They suggested that if more people re-wore old outfits, it would reduce child exploration and improve the environment. 

The How To Be Single actress's stylist Elizabeth Stewart also gushed about Rebel's sustainable efforts on Instagram.

"There’s another Aussie Sustainable Queen! @rebelwilson re-wearing this incredible custom @jasonwu gown made for the 2020 Oscars," Elizabeth wrote in a post on Monday.

Rebel's video also showed the 43-year-old stepping out and holding hands with 37-year-old fiancé Ramona Agruma, who rocked a sheer draped look. 

The couple joined the horde of celebrities who got engaged in Disneyland last month. Rebel proposed to her lover at the fun center in California with a 2.55 Carat Diamond ring. 

The media personality revealed that it was a pleasure to celebrate their engagement with a Tiffany ring. She revealed that she and Ramona got Tiffany heart charms on their first date in Los Angeles in late 2021. 

Rebel also revealed that a mutual friend, Hugh, introduced her and her fiancé to each other. He is also the one who gave them the Tiffany jewels to celebrate their first date. 

The entertainer previously revealed how she didn't know her sexual orientation until very recently. She shared how she kept looking for love with multiple men until she met her fiancé. 

Rebel's journey to finding true love hasn't been the only remarkable occurrence in her life as she also underwent an incredible weight loss journey. While talking about her Oscars dress, the first time she wore it in 2020, Rebel shared that she decided to lose weight to increase her chances of having a baby. Rebel began her "year of health" and lost over 70 pounds by November 2020.

Rebel also disclosed in July 2021  that her doctor advised her to lose weight as it might improve her fertility chances and make her healthier.

Rebel further shared that she wanted quality eggs, prompting her to lose excess weight. She added that she didn't embark on a weight loss journey for herself but for a "future mini-me." 

The Australian native welcomed her first child, daughter Royce Lillian, via surrogacy in November 2022 after suffering a surrogate miscarriage months before.
