Was There Foul Play?

Aaron's mom, who goes by the name Jane Schneck, uploaded several photos on her personal Facebook account on Wednesday. She claims the police quickly wrote off her son's death as an accidental overdose because of his drug problem but she believes it was a homicide.

The photos included the bathtub, where Aaron's body was found on November 5, 2022.

"Still trying to get a real investigation for the death of my son Aaron Carter. I want to share these death scene photos with you all because the coroner wrote it off as an accidental drug overdose," she started in the caption.

"Aaron had a lot of death threats and many many people who were making his life miserable," she said.

Pleading For Help

This isn't the first time Jane has pleaded for help. In another Facebook post, she also reached out to TV personality Nancy Grace to look into the case. She claims that the police did not do a proper investigation and she wants to get the truth about his death.

Fans Are Disgusted

The graphic images sparked outrage from Aaron's fans but his mom explained that she posted the "awful photos" only because law enforcement was not taking her seriously.

Supported By Family

She also says that she is “totally supported by the family and friends who know I had to post the awful photos."

Schneck asserts that she and Aaron's then-fiancée Melanie Martin are not satisfied with how the case was handled. They are looking for justice and believe that there are people behind the death who must be held accountable.

He Didn't Drown

Back in January, Martin told TMZ that Aaron didn't die from drowning. Although his lifeless body was found in the tub, the Coroner's office ruled that there was no water in Aaron's lungs.

$800 Debt

According to Martin, she found incriminating messages on Aaron's phone. An unidentified person was demanding $800 that Aaron owed for an unknown substance.

Drug Deal Gone Wrong?

The conversation with the mystery dealer included Aaron saying that he had no need for the substance anymore but the person responded that he still owed money.

Carter's family believes that Aaron met with the unidentified person on the night of his death and was given a substance that may have caused his fatal overdose.

Compressed Air Cans

When police were called to the scene in Lancaster, California, responding officers found multiple cans of compressed air in the pop star's bathroom. Prescription pills were also present at the scene.

Housekeeper Called 911

His housekeeper last saw him alive at around 2 a.m. She went into the room the next day because she heard Aaron's dog in distress and found the singer dead in the bathtub. He was 34 years old at the time of his death.

Investigation Is Ongoing

Following the release of the death scene photos, the LA Country Sheriff's Department said in a statement to The Times that their homicide detectives are continuing their investigation.

No Foul Play

“To date, there has been no evidence of foul play found during the investigation. The results of Mr. Carter’s autopsy are still pending. The investigation remains ongoing.”
