Rebel Wilson Called CEO Bob Iger For Permission to Pop the Question at Disneyland

The Pitch Perfect star, 42, wanted a perfect proposal for her girlfriend, Ramona Agruma, 36. Earlier last month, the Night at the Museum actress proposed to Agruma. During a recent appearance on Drew Barrymore's show, Wilson recalled how it all happened.

The comedienne revealed that she called Disney CEO Iger for permission to propose at Disneyland. Describing Iger as "the big boss," Wilson stated, "I had to get a special permission to get a special area roped off..." She continued that she got the permission along with a special area, topiary trees, and a violinist.

Wilson added that it was romantic with the violinist playing Disney classics. The singer added that unsure of what to do, she got on one knee and Agruma did the same. The Pizza actress shared that she was overwhelmed with happiness. It was the first time she had proposed to someone and been proposed to. 

Last month, the excited actress shared some pictures documenting the proposal on her Instagram post. The pictures showed the couple in matching pink and white and pink striped sweaters paired with jeans.

The couple stood in front of Cinderella Castle at Disneyland Park in Anaheim. The first picture gave an up-close view of the ring. Agruma's hand was stretched out to the camera while the couple shared a kiss. The second photo gave a broader view of the romantic proposal scene.

The scene showed the couple surrounded by white, yellow, and pink roses with rose petals on the floor and in the air. Agruma and Wilson had big smiles on their faces as they posed on their knees and reveled in the wholesome moment.

The Isn't It Romantic star went public with her relationship with Agruma in June 2022 on Instagram. In the Instagram post, the actress posted a Snapchat with her designer girlfriend. She shared a heartfelt caption introducing the love of her life.

The Senior Year star penned, "I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince... but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess. #loveislove." Before the announcement, Wilson took Agruma as her date to the Vanity Fair Oscar party in 2022. However, there was no indication that they were an item at the time.

In August 2022, the couple attended the U.S. Open holding hands. In October 2022, the pair joined friends at the Casamigos Tequila party. They had attended the Halloween party dressed as Barie Dolls in toy boxes. Prior to flaunting her love life with Agruma, Wilson was quite lowkey when it came to her romantic life.

The star actress has been linked to other celebrities like a pro tennis player, Matt Reid, actor and producer, Mickey Gooch Jr., Aden Stay, and Jeff Beacher. Beacher is the CEO of Beacher Media Group.

Wilson's girlfriend-turned-fianceé is a fashion designer from Latvia. She also founded the clothing brand, Lemon Ve Limon. Agruma's brand sells hoodies and sweatpants. The brand's clothes are manufactured in Turkey with environmentally friendly dyes.

Agruma also founded and served as creative director for the brand, DeLys jewelry. The couple also collaborated on their clothing line R&R Club. The brand only features white embroidered sweats for now. They announced their partnership on the same day they made their engagement known to fans on social media.

 Wilson has not been very public about her past dating history like she was with Agruma. Her most recent relationship before meeting Agruma was with Jon Busch. Busch might not be prominent in Hollywood, but he is an heir to the Anheuser-Busch Company, a phenomenal name in the brewery world.

He launched his own beer company in 2016. Jon and Wilson were in a relationship for about six months and after their split, the latter remain tight-lipped about what went down. According to an insider, this was because Jon wanted to maintain privacy.

Another source stated that Jon wasn't who she wanted for a long-term relationship. Once speaking about her relationship, Wilson stated that she and the business entrepreneur started dating one year ahead of her Year of Health weight loss program.

Everything seems to be adding up for the Bogan Pride actress. Wilson welcomed her first child last year and is now engaged to her partner, of seven months, Agruma. In November 2022, the actress welcomed her daughter, Royce Lillian via surrogacy.

In December 2022, Wilson shared how it felt to be a working mom. The actress revealed that it was challenging especially with her busy career. Wilson revealed that welcoming her first child has changed her life. 

 The actress announced the birth of her first daughter on November 7, 2022. She took to her Instagram page to announce her "beautiful miracle" was born via surrogate. The proud mother-of-one also expressed her gratitude to everyone who was involved.

Wilson also gave a special appreciation to the surrogate who gave her, "The BEST gift!" The actress's loved ones also celebrated with her and Agruma threw her a baby shower. A source revealed to E! News at the tie, that the actress was surrounded by lots of love.
