Lea Michele and Jonathan Groff have been extraordinarily close and trusting of one another since their time in Broadway's Spring Awakening. Recently, the actress spoke about their relationship again. This time, Lea described Jonathan as her barometer when her life comes under scrutiny.

During a chat with Interview Magazine, Lea opened up about Jonathan's importance in her life. The actress mentioned that she trusted Jonathan to give honest feedback on her personal and professional life.
Lea further noted that it could get very noisy in the movie industry and life, with so many people's thoughts and opinions. However, she was assured that Jonathan would be her barometer whenever the public voices get too loud.
"He is the best. I think that it can get very noisy in this industry and in life with so many people's opinions and thoughts. But at the end of the day, if it’s personal or if it’s professional, he is my barometer. I'm an only child and I believe that he is the sibling I never had. I’m really fortunate that he gets me."
Lea's confession came about two years after her former Glee cast mates publicly opened up about her alleged terrible attitude while working on the show. It's pertinent to note that Lisa bagged the role of Rachel Berry on the show in 2009 and rose to fame afterward.
Unfortunately, some of Lea's co-stars have claimed they didn't have the best time working with her. Samantha Marie Ware, who appeared as Jane Hayward in Glee season six, began the public criticism following a tweet Lea made about George Floyd in 2020.
According to Samantha, Lea made her time on Glee a living hell. She also accused the actress of making several racial microaggressions while on set, including Lea threatening to shit in Samantha's wig.
Amber Riley and Heather Morris shared the same sentiments, noting that Lea was unpleasant to work with. Naya Rivera also had something to say about Lea before she died in 2020. The late actress and model claimed that Lea would pointedly ignore her during their time together on Glee and didn't enjoy sharing the spotlight with anyone.
The likes of Chris Colfer and Kevin McHale were not left out, as they recently hinted at bad blood between them and Lea. The actress has also been branded a narcissist who caused conflicts if she felt her position on a show was threatened.
Not long after Chris and Kevin's comments, Lea addressed the negative admissions from her co-stars.
Lea noted that she used the recent years for self-reflection after having eye-opening and healing conversations with her former co-stars. Overall, Lea said she was grateful for the opportunity to apply what she had learned over the past few years of her life.
