Kirk was a hugely successful actor in his own right, gaining international recognition after he appeared as a boxing hero in 1949's Champion. While Kirk achieved fame and fortune, he also paid attention to his love and family life.

Kirk's First Marriage

The late icon tied the knot with Diana Dill in 1943 and welcomed two sons — Michael and his brother. However, their marriage lasted only a few years before it crumbled in 1951. Over six decades later, Diana died at 92 in 2015 from an undisclosed form of cancer.

When Diana died, Kirk was still happily married to Anne. The pair met on the set of Act of Love and exchanged wedding vows in 1954. In 2014, they commemorated 60 years of marital bliss at the Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills.
