Jonah Hill And Lauren London Used Computer-Generated Imagery To Fake Their Kiss In 'You People'

The information was shared last week by Andrew Schulz during his podcast, The Brilliant Idiots. During the podcast episode on You People, the conversation came up with Nyla Symone and co-host Charlamagne Tha God. The comedian first joked that Hill and London did not make a great couple. He then continued that the kiss in the final scene was fake, "It's CGL." he said.

Schluz was present for the scene where the two actors get married and kiss. However, they did not kiss, and he thought the movie would cut away at the scene. The comedian continued that he was shocked to finally watch the movie and see their fake kiss. A representative for Netflix, Hill, and London did not respond to the news. 

London had an interview with Harper's Bazaar last Wednesday. During the interview, the 38-year-old expressed her initial concerns about the relationship between the characters. She was concerned that the relationship between Ezra (Hill) and Amira (London) would not be believable.

The Without Remorse actress said both characters were from different worlds, and their roles were centered around achieving a soulful connection. The actress, however, expressed her surprise that she and Hill got along well. London shared that even though she is black and her 39-year-old co-star is white, they somehow have some similar experiences. 

The movie, You People is about Ezra Cohen, a Jewish man, and Amira Mohammed, a black Muslim woman, who fall in love. They have to contend with parents from both sides, who are not excited about their relationship due to their differences in race, culture, and religion.

This comedy about love was released on Netflix on January 27, 2023. The film was first announced in June 2021 and filming started in October 2021. The teaser trailer was released on Netflix on December 5, 2022. A month later, the official trailer was released.

The comedy film includes several A-list cast members. Hill stars as Ezra, while London stars as Amira. Eddie Murphy and Nia Long play Amira's parents, Akbar and Fatima Mohammed.

David Duchovny and Julia Louis-Dreyfus play Ezra's parents, Arnold and Shelley Cohen. Other cast members include Sam Jay, Molly Gordon, Mike Epps, Bryan Greenberg, La La Anthony, and Rhea Perlman.

The film is directed by Kenya Barris, and he co-wrote it with Hill. The film was produced by Kevin Misher. The behind-the-scenes team includes Jamie Nelsen, Mark Doering-Powell, and Bekon.
