Kylie Jenner's Bold Lion Head Look Divides The Public At Fashion Week

The internet erupted in mixed responses as the Kylie Cosmetics founder's look spread worldwide. Some fans are impressed at the bold choice while others are furious over Jenner's accessory choice.

Jenner channeled her Leo energy in a black velvet form-fitting sleeveless dress with a ruched design. The otherwise simple maxi dress came alive with a realistic lion's head propped on the right breast and covering most of her bodice.

Fans didn't know whether the hyperrealist dress used an actual lion head for its fashion statement. Several people called for PETA to take action as they trolled Jenner for going to extreme lengths in the name of fashion.

However, Schiaparelli cleared the air in its Instagram post, saying it didn't harm any animal in creating the look. The lion's head is a hand-sculpted piece using wool, foam, and silk faux fur. The designer hand-painted the final look to make it realistic.

Schiaparelli warned that nothing is as it seems in its Inferno Couture, especially the Leo couture that has everyone in shambles. During the show, Russian model Irina Shayk modeled another style from the couture collection.

Shayk's design had a long mono sleeve with her lion's head opening its mouth to show off its sharp canines.

Shalom Harlow wore a white leopard-impression dress with her animal head on the chest and the rest of the dress hugging her frame.

Naomi Campbell was the she-wolf for the night in a powerful black coat decorated with a black wolf head on the left epaulet. Schiaparelli's head designer Daniel Roseberry drew inspiration from Dante's Inferno and created pieces representing lust, pride, and avarice.

Shayk shared a close-up shot of her beautiful dress on her Instagram account and showed support for the artists behind the masterpieces. The Russian model felt honored to be the chosen woman for the "pride" piece.

Many commenters on Schiaparelli's page criticized Roseberry's choice of inspiration. Some said he misinterpreted Dante's Inferno, while others said the literature isn't worthy of becoming haute couture.
