After six years on screen, the Netflix series Cobra Kai's time is nearing its end as it prepares to air its sixth and final season. The comedy-drama series, a spin-off from the Karate Kid franchise, is bowing out gracefully after a successful run.

The Last Hurrah

Netflix announced its end last Friday during its season renewal, making it a bittersweet moment for its fans.

Cobra Kai would get a worthy end as Netflix promises to make the biggest and "baddest" season of the series. The streamer reminded the fans of the Dojo's mantra - Cobra Kai never dies.

A Nice Spin-Off

Cobra Kai has been an interesting spin-off for Karate Kid fans as it gave fresh takes on familiar favorites. The lead character, Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka), a former antagonist, became a protagonist alongside OG good guy Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio).

Season Six Is Coming

There's no release date despite Netflix promising that it's sooner than we all think. The streamer asked fans if they have any more fights left in them to ride with the Dojo once more.

Netflix released a statement on Twitter saying the series creators, Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg, always planned to end Cobra Kai on their terms. They confirmed it was a mutual decision to leave the valley and leave the Miyagiverse stronger than ever.

Not The End For The Miyagiverse

Cobra Kai is ending, but the writing trio hopes they'll continue writing stories for the universe. Getting to Netflix was a dream come true as it started as a free web series on YouTube.

The show launched its third season on the streamer with glowering reviews, so it wasn't shocking that it reached six seasons.

A Hit With Critics

Cobra Kai's last season, five, streamed on Netflix last September and earned a whopping 98/100 on Rotten Tomatoes. The season raked in 107 million view hours and landed on the Top Ten releases from Netflix for six weeks.

Who's In It?

Cobra Kai also stars Peyton List who joined in its second season and became a regular, Xolo Mariduena, Tanner Buchanan, Jacob Bertrand, and Mary Mouser.

Most of the young actors in the series are moving on to other things like List joining the cast of A Little White Lie.
