Kate Middleton Receives New Royal Title from King Charles III

Kate Middleton is taking in more responsibilities as King Charles III has named her the new honorary Colonel of the Irish Guards, a title that once belonged to her husband, Prince William. Following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, the Royal House is undergoing several changes.

According to the Evening Standard, which cited Buckingham Palace, the 40-year-old has been appointed a title previously given to her husband, Prince William, more than ten years ago. This comes three months after being given the title of Princess of Wales by King Charles III. William served as the first Royal Colonel of the Irish Guards.

A Royal Spread Of Titles

According to the news source, William will now take Charles' position as Colonel of the Welsh Guards. Prince Andrew stepped down from his position as Colonel of the Grenadier Guards in January, and Charles' wife, Queen Consort Camilla, has since been selected to take his place.

The inaugural Trooping the Colour in celebration of King Charles' birthday will be held on June 17 of next year, even though his real birthdate is November 14. Six weeks after his coronation on May 6, the ceremony will occur. That day will see Camilla's coronation as well.

A Christmas Carol Remembrance For The Late Queen

The late Queen was recently remembered at a Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey in London. William and Kate, together with their older children Prince George, 9, and Princess Charlotte, 7, visited Charles and Camilla on December 15 for a joyful event that included a Christmas tree decorated with Paddington Bear ornaments in Her Majesty's honor.

Prince William and Kate Middleton looked lovely as they posed with their three children in an exquisite family shot for their annual Christmas card, and this has had to be one cute family Christmas card.

A fresh image issued by Kensington Palace on Tuesday shows the Prince and Princess of Wales, both 40, along with their children Princess Charlotte, 7, sons Prince George, 9, and Prince Louis, 4, smiling and walking hand in hand down a path.

Christmas In Jordan

Last year, a picture of William and Kate posing with their kids while on a secret family holiday in Jordan was included in their Christmas letter. George sported a camouflage-patterned collared shirt, Charlotte wore a blue gingham outfit, and Louis, the youngest, wore a striped shirt in the picture. Kate and William matched in khaki colors.
