Oprah Speechless After Fan Tells Her $100 Is a Lot of Money

In the clip shared to TikTok, Winfrey could be seen outdoors looking as though she was about to leave when a fan caught up with her. From behind the camera, the fan asked the TV star for ideas for sentimental gifts. The individual made it known that they were looking to resent something nice and sentimental to their mom who was "not doing well." Winfrey took out time to share her opinion on what could be befitting.

The TV host made suggestions as she recalled a jewelry box she once owned on Favorite Things. The star shared 'A beautiful red jewelry box with a little..." The 68-year-old's words trailed off as she was interrupted by the fan who told her it was an expensive gift item. Oprah countered as she noted that she did not think it was. She proceeded to share that the item cost about a hundred dollars, and the fan once again shared that it was higher than his budget.

This elicited a shocked expression on her face as she rhetorically asked, "lower than 100?" The entertainer also had an amused smile on her face. She immediately collected herself when the fan stated that they wanted to get something sentimental. At this point, the famous philanthropist suggested that they could do a "list of the top 10 reasons why you love her." She advised that the fan could make it into a card. In the end, the fan lets Winfrey know that her idea was perfect before she confirmed that it was indeed sentimental.

Many media users toom to their accounts and deliberated on the viral clip. Some fans admired how Winfrey had been gracious enough to listen to a stranger on the street, and even offer her ideas. However, some could not get past her reaction to the hundred-dollar suggestion. One person stated, "The judgment when he said $100 was too expensive." Another person stated that Winfrey was "shook."
