Identical twins are often accused of perpetuating mischief because of their similarities and the possibility of them getting away with swapping places. However, in 2016 two sisters fought against their school system for accusing them of academic dishonesty, and they won.

The sisters, Kayla, and Kellie Bingham have gone on to become medical practitioners in the same hospital. During the trial, several experts testified in their favor saying similar behavior in identical twins is more common than opposing traits.

Also, the girls had a history of similar performances in their favor, so winning against the Medical University of South Carolina was like taking candy from a baby.

The Twins Fought The System And Won

The story made it onto Reddit underneath the News subreddit, with several users discussing the normalcy of identical twins being similar. The twins had a long history of getting scores within a few points of each other on their STATS, SATs, and MCATs.

The exam lasted eight hours, and Kayla testified that there wasn't anything out of the ordinary. The twins claimed that the accusation affected them psychologically and emotionally as their colleagues avoided them.

Kellie confirmed this by saying their friends didn't believe them and started avoiding them in exam halls. Once they realized the damage to their reputation, the twins fought back and won.

Fellow Reddit users supported the twins with scientific proof and real-life experiences.

They Beat The System

Most people supported the twins, saying it's normal even with twins separated at birth and growing up separately. The person highlighted that they study together and that's a possible reason for getting the same scores.

However, another person expressed their suspicion, always scoring the same thing and missing the same questions. Kellie and Kayla scored the same 54 questions wrong, and the odds aren't close.

Also, they scored the same thing only when they sat by each other but had different scores when separated. Such accusations in professional schools are always complicated because it requires airtight proof.

A further article showed that the twins were more suspicious than they admitted. Some of their actions included requesting a room change to stay in the same examination room and being caught passing notes.

The Redditor believes they cheated the system and got rewarded for it. The problem was with their consistency in failing and passing the same questions.
