Letitia Wright delivered a compelling performance in the latest installment of Wakanda Forever as the new Black Panther impressing everyone, including her co-stars.

Although things were different due to the loss of the former Black Panther, Chadwick Boseman, the second part had the best opening weekend and is faring well at the box office. The movie is currently at $67.6 million against a $250 million budget.

Co-star Winston Duke (M'Baku) penned a sweet message to Wright for carrying Boseman's torch and doing the role justice.

He said,

"It's very hard at times but really fun."

Duke Cheers His Co-Star For A Great Accomplishment

Duke shared a picture of Wright from one of their world premieres via Instagram alongside a sweet message in the caption. He praised the Guyanese-British actress for making Afro-Caribbean people proud.

The actor said watching her work while highlighting her impressive qualities was a pleasure. He said Wright has a "Generosity of Spirit and Deeply rooted love for humanity." Duke's praise contradicts reports that Wright made production difficult due to her anti-vax stance.

Boseman's Words Still Guide Her

The 36-year-old star admitted things weren't the same on set with Boseman, but Wright, 28, did well maintaining her cool. She told PEOPLE during the D23 Expo that it felt like Boseman guided her through her self-doubt moments.

Duke confirmed that Boseman had a strong personality and led them by example during his lifetime.

The set for Wakanda Forever wasn't as relaxed as the first movie set, but it had its own uniqueness, like love and inclusion.

Debunking Rumors About Difficulty On Set

Duke also defended Wright after news that her anti-vax stance stalled production last year. More rumors flooded the internet that Marvel Studios changed the movie's ending and booted Wright out of the cast, but it turned out false.

The actor refuted the claim saying that Wright's stance never came up on set and the team didn't care about it. That's her personal life, and it didn't coincide with her role.

Wright paid tribute to Boseman at the U.S. World premiere when she walked the purple carpet in a black pantsuit similar to his Oscars suit. It had silver embellishments on the epaulets like the actor's own.

Despite being almost two decades apart, Wright and Boseman had a close relationship, like their on-screen personas. She felt like his real-life younger sister and appreciated his guidance such that the words of wisdom still guide her today.
