With all the negativity in the world, we tend to cling onto the things that give us joy. But there are some people who won't even let you have that, because they hate other people having fun or something.

That's why it's important to remember one simple life lesson.

"Make it a rule for yourself to NEVER insult how another person finds joy or expresses joy."

Pretty important words to live by.

"It’s incredibly sad when some covers their mouth or face in the middle of a joyous moment because they were always told that the gap in their teeth looks weird or that they have an overbite," they continue.

It's no wonder why people end up being negative all the time.

They have people who insult their interests. Friends, or even their own parents will be needlessly cruel, just because they don't like that thing.

It really isn't that hard. People often feel like they have to give an opinion, but they don't. A friend says they love X show, which is something you hate or even don't care about? Awesome. "It's not my thing, but I love that you love it."

If you don't like something, you don't have to be mean about it.

If somebody has an interest that isn't your thing, just let them be. No need to be rude.

Literally, as long as they aren't hurting anybody.

Or themselves, for that matter, it can't be all that bad. After all, pretty much every hobby in this world is subjective.

And don't make fun of people's appearances. Ever. That's just not cool.
