I know we all think being a celebrity would be an incredibly easy job, and I believe that for some people it truly is, however, many actors who are just trying to live their best life and make us cry on screen have a lot to death with behind the scenes.

Now, Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan is speaking out about the exhausting toll of being in the public eye.

I first became familiar with Nicola Coughlan after her breakout role as Clare in the irresistible series "Derry Girls."

BTW — if you haven't watched Derry Girls I highly suggest you do, it is pure comedy gold.

However, it's safe to say many more people became fans of Nicola after watching her star in the only show of 2021 that mattered — "Bridgerton."

Her role as Penelope Featherington had fans on the edge of their seats, but don't worry, I WON'T SAY ANYTHING MORE ABOUT THE SHOW IN CASE YOU STILL HAVEN'T WATCHED!

Unfortunately, all this attention and fame has come at a cost to the 35-year-old's mental health.

In a recent Instagram post, Nicola had to essentially beg fans to stop commenting on her body altogether, regardless of what they have to say was positive.

"Hello! So just a thing- if you have an opinion about my body please, please don’t share it with me," she began.

"Most people are being nice and not trying to be offensive but I am just one real life human being and it’s really hard to take the weight of thousands of opinions on how you look being sent directly to you every day."

"If you have an opinion about me that’s ok, I understand I’m on TV and that people will have things to think and say but I beg you not to send it to me directly," she explained.

"Anyways here’s a pic of me in my hotel in NY about to go to SNL, it’s unrelated to this post but delighted with my hair in it."

I couldn't agree with Nicola's sentiments more — she deserves to have her privacy!
