'Yellowstone Prequel '1932' Will Star Helen Mirren And Harrison Ford

Yellowstone fans can rejoice because the prequel 1932 will be getting true A-List Hollywood celebrities Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford to star as the leads. The new Yellowstone series was announced in February of 2022, and quite frankly, I am so excited to see more of the Dutton family's roots and origins as ranch owners.

We were already BLESSED by having a Yellowstone series that took place in 1883, that starred Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. It followed John Dutton’s (Kevin Costner's) great grandfather James Dutton (McGraw) and his journey west along the Oregon Trail accompanied by his wife Margaret Dutton (Hill).

The world of 'Yellowstone' is expanding.

The series, which was announced by Yellowstone's writer Taylor Sheridan will have just as much drama and just as much tension as the original story.

“With Yellowstone, I had built out this back story of where the Dutton family came from." he said in a teaser video.

It will follow them through their own journey, which will take place " during the time of Western expansion, Prohibition, and the Great Depression,” as reported by the show’s IMDB page.

So keep in mind that there will be plenty of worldwide trauma for the Duttons to explore apart from their own personal and business issues.

So far, we have no idea when we will get the first season, or even when they will start filming. But you can bet that we will have our eyes peeled for more information!
