When it comes to the failed relationship of legendary movie star Johnny Depp and actress Amber Heard, messy doesn't begin to describe it.

For the past 20-odd days, fans, critics, and everyone in-between has been watching with shock and surprise as Johnny's defamation trial plays out.

Now, yet another wrinkle has been introduced into the fold after an unnamed woman announced in court that Johnny was the father of her baby.

At every hairpin turn, a new obstacle presents itself — threatening to overturn and crash the very vehicle in which we are traveling.

So far along in the trial, several shocking and disturbing instances have been brought to light.

We've all heard the tales of how Amber allegedly cut off a piece of Johnny's finger with a broken bottle. Then, there was the infamous accusation that Amber had pooped the bed (as a prank) toward the end of their relationship.

Now, yet another wrinkle in the seemingly-neverending defamation trial has reared its ugly head.

On the 21st day of the trial, an unnamed woman stood up in court while holding her newborn baby, and proclaimed that Johnny was the father.

The incident occurred just as the court was set to adjourn for its regularly scheduled morning recess.

As a result, all of the TV cameras were switched off. However, there were still plenty of courtroom reporters present to relay the events of what took place.

One of whom was 'Law & Crime's' Angenette Levy.

"All of a sudden, this woman… she stands up at the back of the courtroom with her baby, and she says ‘Johnny I love you, our souls are connected,'” Levy said.

Without missing a beat, Johnny turned around to wave to the strange woman.

It was at this point that the woman decided to double down. "She held up the baby and said: ‘This baby is yours,'” Levy recalled incredulously.

After officials realized what was happening, the woman was quickly escorted out of the courtroom.

Upon exiting, her access wristband was cut-off and discarded. “The deputy was like ‘You’re outta here,'” Levy said. “It was pretty wild. It was a moment.”

What's even harder to comprehend is that this was all done under the guise of a joke.

The woman later explained that she and her husband had concocted this whole plan as a ruse. According to Law & Crime, "They thought it was a joke, and thought it would be funny."

Several people were made to wonder how the woman got court access in the first place.

While speaking with Levy on-air, Law & Crime anchor Jesse Cord Weber asked "Was she waiting with the baby at 1 AM to get into the courtroom? If so, that's a bigger issue."

It's ironic how many humorous moments have been born from this potentially life-altering trial.

First of all, it goes without saying that there is nothing funny about a domestic violence dispute, no matter what side of the line you personally stand on. This is an incredibly serious and upsetting trial for all parties.

However, there have been times when Johnny's defamation hearing has dissolved into an all-out kangaroo court.

You needn't look far in order to find a slew of videos that show Johnny mocking Amber's attorneys in ways that have made him go viral, and quick.

For example, after a few days of being cross-examined by Heard's lawyer, Johnny began to anticipate when the attorney would object.

It got to the point where Johnny would pause mid-sentence, look over at Heard's attorney, and then say the word "hearsay" in unison.

Heard's lawyer got so used to objecting during testimony that he objected to his own line of questioning!

While cross-examining Ben King, Mr. Ben Rottenborn objected to his own question on the grounds that it was hearsay. "Wait, you asked the question," the judge stated in confusion.

The trial has even spawned its very own TikTok trend.

During Amber Heard's testimony, she began telling an anecdote of the day that she and Johnny allegedly got into a fight. Out of nowhere, Heard proclaims "My dog stepped on a bee" while wincing.

This redacted bit of testimony has caused a viral firestorm, with countless response videos flooding social media every day.

In the videos, users come up with their own set of problems, all of which rhyme with "My dog stepped on a bee." They also make sure to include Amber's wince, which has also gone viral.

This is the way a lot of people have decided to deal with seeing the court case everywhere.

But make no mistake: people turning this into a viral video shouldn't take away from the seriousness of what's happening inside this courtroom.

No matter how people may feel about either Johnny Depp or Amber Heard personally, this is a very difficult and traumatizing case for many.

The case will be wrapping up this week, and then it's up to the jury to make their decision.
