You might like the story or the character development, or maybe you just like to see dragons burn up some bad guys.

No matter how you might feel about *Game of Thrones*, I think we can all agree on one thing, and one thing only.

HBO

The ending was terrible.

Just kidding! The one thing we can all agree on is the fact that it is a BEAUTIFUL show.

HBO

The locations are absolutely insanely gorgeous.

Sure, there is some CGI involved, but the actors actually filmed on location for many of their scenes.

HBO

And you can trust me when I say that they have been to some gorgeous places.

So without further ado, let's get right into it!

Make sure you comment down below at the end of the article with your favorite location!

1. Dark Hedges, Northern Ireland.

We'll start out with the King's Road. Its green enclosure of a path is amazing, stunning to the eye.

An integral part of the series, this place wouldn't look the same without Dark Hedges, Northern Ireland.

2. Itzurun Beach, Spain.

Next, we head over to Dragonstone. This city by the sea is perfectly represented by Itzurun Beach, Spain.

In fact, this might not be the only time you see Spain represented here.

3. Trsteno Arboretum, Croatia.

Now we move onto King's Landing.

These gardens were awesome for moments when people were walking through them plotting and making evil plans about their next move towards winning the throne.

4. Split, Croatia.

Here we are at Meereen. These dark halls were perfect for the mysterious ancient city that held many pyramids.

The rock walls, the broken halls, everything looked like it was from a bygone time.

5. Kliss Fortress In Split, Croatia.

The outer walls of this city give the city of Meereen an ancient look once again.

Kind of like the classical walls of Jerusalem, these are old and beautiful structures.

6. Kastel Gomilica, Croatia.

This city in Croatia, meant to represent Braavos, has a perfect ancient Spain vibe.

The streets were broken, yet had some piece of bravado to them.

7. Dubrovnik, Croatia...once again.

This city in Croatia is perfect for the walls of King's Landing.

Its red-tinted stone separators are an amazing backdrop to all the bloody, violent battles that happen during this city's time.

8. Dubrovnik, Croatia...again, again.

The inner and outer walls of King's Landing are represented by this awesome castle.

Its high walls and its excellent Croatian castle feeling are the epitome of perfect for King's Landing.

9. Trsteno Arboretum, Croatia... Something tells me they spent a lot of time in Croatia.

These gardens, where we saw the Tyrells, mostly, are represented by this awesome floral display.

It would be beautiful, if it weren't for all the terrible planning we knew happened in these very gardens.

10. Fortress Of Kliss, Split, Croatia.

This place, that represented the outer walls of Meereen, is perfect for what they were going for.

Need a place that looks like it could hold a pyramid? Well, then, this is the place for you.

11. Skogafoss, Iceland.

Dragonstone. The place of Targaryens and Baratheons alike.

Lord knows why they chose a waterfall to represent a place so based in fire. Maybe it was juxtaposition?

12. Dubrovnik, Croatia.

This, folks, is the city of King's Landing. I feel, of course, like it's perfect for something that holds "The Red Keep."

Its red rooftops really fit into the motif.

13. Trsteno Arboretum, Croatia...again.

Instagram | @schmollywood1

What? They used two different places for the place the Tyrells did evil planning?

Well, I guess if you've got all sorts of HBO money behind you, you can shoot wherever you darn well please.

14. Mequite Square, Mdina, Malta.

This, folks, is where Jaime Lannister confronted Ned Stark in front of Littlefinger's brothel.

One has to wonder if there's an actual brothel in there. Uh...I'm asking for a friend.

15. Minčeta Tower, Dubrovnik, Croatia.

Bored Panda | Asta Skujytė-Razmienė

One has to wonder (once again) if there's a tower filled with evil warlocks in Dubrovnik, Croatia.

Croatia has warlocks, right? Sorry, clearly I'm not the most worldly person ever.

16. Carnlough Harbour, Northern Ireland...here we go again.

So they went from Croatia to Ireland to represent one fictional city?

They couldn't find a place in Croatia that had that kind of seaside landing? I don't get television at all.

17. Girona, Spain.

If you recall, at the end of season 5, episode 10, Jaqn H'gar makes Arya blind.

Opening up the sixth season, Arya is seen in the streets of Braavos, begging on these same steps.

18. Murlough Bay, Northern Ireland

In season, 5 episode 6, Tyrion and Jorah are unfortunately captured by slavers.

Tyrion uses his quick wit and cheeky humor to deter the slavers from killing them.

19. Island of Gozo, Malta.

A scene during season 1, episode 1 takes place in Malta at the Azure Window.

This familiar scene occurs during Daenerys and Drogo's interesting wedding celebration.

20. Trsteno Arboretum, Croatia. Again.

Instagram | @schmollywood1

This is the exact pond where Sansa and Loras Tyrell discuss possible future wedding plans in season 3, episode 6.

And, by future wedding plans, I mean zero wedding plans.

21. Mdina, Malta.

This scene takes place in season 1 when Catelyn and Rodrik head to King's Landing to find out what happened to Bran when he was pushed out of the window.

22. Peñíscola, Spain.

Peñíscola, Spain is transformed into Meereen for Game of Thrones.

It really comes in handy when your natural set is already from the Medieval Period!

23. Split, Croatia. Of course, again.

Even though a little photo-editing was used in the Game of Thrones episode, you can see that those trees are exactly the same, and same with the nature growing out of the wall.

24. Itzurun Beach, Spain, round two.

Instagram | @joaquin.d.carreras

This scenic spot in Spain was the perfect dramatic setting for this scene between Daenerys, Missandei, and Jon Snow.

25. Split, Croatia, take three.

This is The Basement of Diocletian’s Palace, where Dany's dragons are kept.

I don't know if I would be brave enough to step down there, even if the show is make believe!
