20 People Who Apparently Got Their Wires Crossed In A Big Way

Sometimes we'll hear people in our lives get something so wrong that we're not even sure how they arrived at the conclusion they did. This isn't like when a little kid gives a Barbie doll a haircut because we can at least understand that they thought the doll's hair worked like theirs.

But when adults start to explain why they think the earth is flat or what cell phone towers have to do with the spread of viruses, it doesn't really get any clearer no matter how passionately they argue for it.

And when we get locked in a conversation like that, we can end up asking ourselves if there's something we're missing or if they're just missing a whole lot more.

This can be awkward and upsetting when we have someone's undivided attention, but these pictures show that it's a lot funnier when we just see it from behind a screen.

The uploader tried to correct the owner of this café, but they insisted that they knew what they were talking about.

Hopefully, they were just really confident in the way they misspelled "poppy" because I don't think I want to know what a "puppy seed" is supposed to be.

I'm not sure when it will happen, but this guy will eventually be in for a big surprise.

Reddit | Lujan11

All I know is that this anole will eventually crawl onto an itchy part of his body and he'll realize his bike had a stowaway all along.

To this person's credit, they were able to get the picture. It just happened a little too late.

Reddit | BlackTeacups

It almost seems cruel to see a warning like this when you've already cut yourself. It's like when somebody yells "heads up" after you've already been hit by their Frisbee.

It seems difficult to make a drain that's completely useless, but somebody definitely found a way here.

Reddit | araitisaname

After all, even if this room somehow filled up with enough water for it to do anything, that water is heading under the door next to it before it ever touches the drain.

Seriously, what's the point of this little ledge?

The problem isn't that this person got their hand stuck in this handle on their fridge door.

Reddit | MuffinNugget

The problem is that they presumably posted this with the expectation that they'd get replies besides, "Just wriggle it back out."

And surprise, surprise, that's all they had to do.

This is a really unfortunate one because I agree with their priorites, but their solution seems to be "just print more money."

Yeah, a quick look at how well that idea worked out for Germany during the 1920s and Zimbabwe during the 2000s should definitely convince this person to move on to plan B.

Whoever designed this really missed out on a clever opportunity to incorporate their state into the word "love."

That L shape for Louisiana should jump right out at most of us, but it was apparently too late for somebody realized they just made a "LLVE" sign.

It's too bad that putting down so many L's just led to them taking one.

This chaotic and extreme mess actually has a pretty simple explanation: a pressure cooker.

Let's just say that when Marge Simpson simply said "don't" when Homer asked how to use one of these, she knew what she was talking about.

Yikes.

This man's ex apparently sent him several large bags of onions in the hopes that she would make him cry.

Reddit | risk_is_our_business

However, she seemed to forget that you actually have to cut them for that effect to happen. So as we can see, she just left him vaguely confused instead.

I guess making him figure out what he'll do with all of these is a victory, too?

OK, I'm just straight-up not convinced that whoever put this sign here knows what it means.

After all, there doesn't seem to be anything remotely accessible about this building for people who use wheelchairs.

Either that, or they have a problem with understanding physics.

I'm guessing that whoever bootlegged these socks will be unpleasantly surrpised to learn that this little trademark doesn't add credibility to their design.

Marvel may be the biggest name in the superhero game right now, but that doesn't mean they own all of them.

To be fair, there is actually a reason why this center would display a one-star rating in this context.

Reddit | SayLittleDoMuch

In Ohio, this star ranking indicates that this center is seeking curriculum to meet the state's standards for early learning.

However, it also means that they don't have it yet, nor have they trained any staff to educate anyone. So even in context, it's not exactly a selling point for parents.

It's not often that a feedback form shows where a teacher needs to improve as it does for the student.

While it's good to see that little Anonymous is getting better at numerical reasoning, it took way longer to figure out that's what this says than it should've.

Maybe the teacher's space bar was broken?

On one hand, I kind of appreciate Zara's honesty, but that's not exactly inspiring a lot of confidence in her talents.

I feel like "closed due to a pandemic that i totally saw coming, but couldn't do much about" would've been a little more effective.

I feel kind of sad that I have to explain this, but both of those things do reflect light.

Reddit | enenamas

I guess they got confused by the term "moonlight," but did nobody really explain to them that any light from the moon is just a reflection of the sun's light.

This is third grade stuff here, people!

Unless this social media post is older than I think, it's pretty amazing that one trickster's prank has such ridiculous longevity.

Reddit | Fuqubro

I wonder, do they laugh even harder when people still get tricked into microwaving their phones several years later or has it just become sad for them now?

Unfortunately, I don't think this policy is going to work as well as this person was hoping.

Sure, the first couple of visitors may end up with cleaner shoes than they started, but that becomes a lot less true when the bowl starts to fill with dirt and bugs.

When the uploader's brother tried to hook up their XBox to the TV, he couldn't figure out why it wasn't working.

Reddit | Rollen734

Not only does this not connect in any way to the TV, but it's not like the XBox can do much for itself.

Fortunately, said brother is only eight-years-old so he has plenty of time to learn these little facts of life.

While this woman has certainly made a stylish face mask for herself, it seems she'll have to go back to the drawing board.

Reddit | DrMrJordan

Yeah, it kind of defeats the purpose when you've got more holes than actual material here. It's not like we wear them because the virus has an irrational fear of masks.

I'm not sure whether whoever made this sign doesn't understand the word "only" or whether they're just a really big pushover.
