Leaked Vid Shows Tesla's Cybertruck In New Detail, Raising Some Big Questions

Elon Musk isn't one to do things in a low-key manner, and his upcoming Tesla Cybertruck is just more evidence of this.

The boxy, futuristic sheet metal aesthetic of the truck has been making headlines ever since the first images leaked.

Now, a new video shows the truck in detail, and we have questions.

Early images of the Cybertruck made headlines.

Tesla has been short on information regarding the features or release date of the new vehicle, but they have leaked a few images.

The one shown above is from the original reveal of the Cybertruck in November of 2019.

The new leak comes courtesy of a four-minute video.

The video, posted to YouTube by a user called Cybertruck Owners Club, shows what appears to be the latest prototype of the Cybertruck.

In the video, a man in a high-vis vest explained some of the features to the person shooting.

It looks a bit glitchy.

While the truck featured all of the angles and stainless steel that early leaks promised, it didn't seem like it was quite ready to hit the production line. For starters, the headlights keep turning on and off at random.

Also, the Cybertruck appears to feature just a single, huge windshield wiper rather than the traditional pair that work in tandem.

"It looks like a stainless steel refrigerator."

The narrator notes that the vehicle looks like a stainless steel refrigerator, and he isn't wrong. It has the exact same reflective-but-not-glossy look that modern kitchen appliances tend to have.

If nothing else, the video gives us a good idea of how shiny the Cybertruck will be.

It's very boxy.

We're not talking Volvo boxy, we're talking about the kind of boxyness we've never seen on a vehicle before.

There's very little to break up the straight lines of the vehicle. In fact, it doesn't even appear to have door handles.

Here's a peek inside the truck bed.

It is a type of pickup truck after all, and a look at the Cybertruck's truck bed looks...well, it looks like a conventional truck bed. I don't know what else I was expecting, honestly.

"Man, tell Elon he doing too much," the narrator commented.

Is it ready for production?

This is the big question, and Tesla has yet to tip their hand. We still don't know when the truck will be released, how much it'll cost, whether it has functional headlights or whether it'll gain door handles.

Basically, it's all unknowns at this point.

Would you buy a Cybertruck?

Tesla's lineup of vehicles has a proven track record at this point, but most of these vehicles have looked like traditional cars. The Cybertruck breaks the mold, and it'll be interesting to see how well it'll sell — assuming it ever hits the market.
