Dad Designs A Fan To Blow Out Birthday Candles Without Getting Spit Everywhere

Remember that time I told you about a woman who covered the birthday cake in order to blow the candles safely? Or that TikTok video that went viral showing people using wine glasses to cut a piece of it for themselves?

Well, now there is a new trick in town. This time it has to do with using a gadget to blow out the candles on the cake resulting in a more hygienic way of doing it.

Here's how the story goes.

Mark Apelt is a 44-year-old father who came up with a unique way to blow the candles of a birthday cake. One day while hanging with friends, they discussed how unhygienic blowing candles really was.

They all witnessed a 6-year old spraying saliva onto the cake at a recent party they attended.

I mean, we all like cake, but after you witness something like this, you no longer find it appetizing. Am I right or what?

Surely there must be a better way of doing this.

It is one phenomenon that doesn't happen with any other food. You don't see anyone blowing on your hamburger before they hand it to you, do you? He he, that's right.

So Apelt conceptualized a device that would allow you to uphold this tradition, but more safely.

He calls this gadget "The Blowzee." OMG, what? LOL. That's pretty funny. So how does this work? It's pretty simple, really. Let's take a look.

The battery-powered Blowzee is activated when someone blows into it.

That, in turn, starts a fan that’s supposed to put out the flames. How cool is that, huh? The idea behind it is that the user’s breath gets redirected away from the cake.

I don't know about you, but I find this pretty genius.

So, you no longer have to worry about kids spreading germs to one another, and now they can still have some fun blowing out birthday cake candles.

The Blowzee is already available for sale.

The original price used to be $14.99, but now you can get it on sale for only $9.99. So it's the perfect time to stock up on some. I bet they will be a hit at your next birthday party.

I think this will definitely come in handy even after the pandemic is over.

Blowing candles is pretty gross. Did you know that according to some studies blowing out candles could increase the number of bacteria on a cake by 1,400 percent? Yikes!

So what's your take on this?

Would you use a gadget like this to blow out birthday cake candles? Or do you think it's too much? I don't know, I mean, as long as you can still have fun, there's no harm in it, right?
