Seagull Strolls Into Supermarket To Steal Sandwich — And Apparently He's A Regular

A perfectly captured video of a seagull walking right into a local grocery store and stealing some food off the shelves has exploded across the internet, sparking many a philosophical discussion about human interference with nature and what exactly makes a customer.

It probably just made most people laugh, though, especially when it was revealed this bird is a long-time criminal.

A video was captured earlier this week showing a grand heist pulled off by...a seagull.

Posted by a Twitter user who goes by Vickie with the caption, "Forgot it's [sic] Crisps and Juice for it's [sic] meal deal," the video currently has 132k likes and over 10 million views.

In the video we see a seagull wander into a store, hop up on the nearest ledge, and take a whole sandwich out of the case.

He struggles with it a tad, originally trying to take it into the store but deciding instead to bring it outside before chowing down.

The bird's antics are not without human interference, though.

Two people feature themselves in the video. One man originally walks by, only to come back and set off the door's motion sensor to allow the bird back outside, and once outside a woman tries briefly to take the sandwich back to presumably return it.

I'm not sure the store would want it back, but she felt righteous in her act for a few seconds at least.

The best part of it all? This isn't the first time this seagull's done this.

Far from his first time, actually. In the replies of the original video is another tweet with a near-identical video stating, "I witnessed it a few weeks ago in the same place, women in the shop said it’s in and out all day [...]."

Does this make the seagull a customer? Sure he's stealing, but he *is* a regular.

Either way, this roller coaster of a video showed just how clever some animals can be and brought a smile to many. Except for the store employees. That fact alone probably makes him not a customer.
