Quotes For When You Have No Time For Laundry Instructions

I used to actually follow laundry instructions to a T because I was certain if I didn't, all my clothes would be ruined. And while that may still be the case, I have to admit I've become super lax with how I handle cleaning my garments.

That is to say, I don't really care anymore.

Sure, I'll throw the odd pair of jeans on a clothes rack instead of in the dryer so they don't shrink. But otherwise I just don't have the time (or desire) to make sure each individual piece gets the love and care it requires from me.

If this also sounds like your approach to doing laundry, I think you're really going to enjoy these quotes!

I'm still waiting for this one to bite me in the butt.

I know there's a reason why we all sort our clothes like this. I know that. But I can't tell you how many times I've just dumped everything into the washing machine together, said a little prayer, and hit "start."

And you know what? Nothing bad has happened...yet.

I've literally never owned an iron.

Sometimes I think clothing tags expect way too much of us, which is why I've reached a point where I don't even look at the tag anymore. I just throw everything into the dryer with reckless abandon and trust it'll all be fine.

For the sake of your sanity, always assume it was the laundry.

If I ever end up with pants that are suddenly too small, or a button-up shirt that doesn't really button up anymore, I chalk it up to doing something wrong with the laundry.

That's the one plus side about ignoring laundry instructions: You can live in blissful ignorance of weight gain because hey, you probably just accidentally shrank those clothes in the wash. Silly you. Now enjoy your cake.

What? It thinks it's too good for my machines? Think again.

It may feel like it's fancier than my Walmart sweaters and hand-me-down jeans, but it's going right in the washing machine with everything else I own. Time to adapt to what life's going to be like living with me.
