Quotes For When 'You Look Tired' Is More Common Than 'Good Morning'

It's fitting that I'm writing this article at 6:30 AM, in bed, with a giant mug of coffee on the side table. I didn't really plan this.

Yes, I knew by the end of the work day yesterday that this would be the first task on the to-do list, but I didn't know then that I would be so damn tired now.

Actually, who am I kidding? Of course I was going to be tired.

The starting-the-work-day-in-bed thing has kind of become the norm too, now that I think about it.

What can I say? It's 2020 and we all have our coping methods.

Everyone's stress manifests differently and mine is near-constant tiredness.

More of a mental tiredness, though. Even though I actually sleep more when I'm overstressed, it's more like my brain is going on power saving mode rather than charging.

I sleep, my physical body gets (barely) enough juice to function, but my brain stays drained.

And you know what? I think it's starting to show.

I saw my mum for the first time in a while yesterday and while the first thing she said was that I look like I've lost weight — Thanks, Mum! — the second was that I looked really tired — Thanks, Mum?

Maybe in 2021 my sleep will be restful again.
