Her husband, Joe Jonas, also got a tattoo in honor of his grandfather. "For Papa Miller," he wrote on Instagram.

2. Rihanna's chest tattoo.

The singer has plenty of tattoos (the Egyptian Goddess Isis one under her chest is gorgeous), but none contain quite as much meaning as this one.

She has “Never a failure. Always a lesson” written backward under her right clavicle.

While on *The Ellen DeGeneres Show*, she revealed that she got it written backwards so that she can read it in the mirror.

“It’s basically saying that it’s OK to make a mistake. Just don’t make them twice,” she shared.

3. Dove Cameron's snake tattoo.

As a proud feminist, Cameron got a snake tattoo to change the definition of female power.

“There’s been lots of mythology that equates femininity with snake-like behavior in a negative way," she told Refinery29.

Getting the tattoo was her was of "taking back the snake" for women.

"The snake is sexy and it represents new life — shedding the old image, rebirth, transformation and two worlds — so I put it on my middle finger. Call me a snake? I am a snake!”

4. Demi Lovato's neck tattoo.

The star has weathered many personal storms over the years. This includes an eating disorder, a drug overdose, and the bipolar diagnosis they received in 2011.

To remind themselves of just how far they've come, they got this neck tattoo in 2019.

Since Kylie is super close to her grandmother, Mary Jo Shannon, she got her grandmother's name in her grandfather's handwriting.
