Blake Shelton And Adam Levine Hilariously Troll Each Other Over Competing Music

We have all had those friendships where to an outside observer it might seem like we hate each other. For those of us fluent in sarcasm, playful teasing can be one of the strongest ways to express our love and friendship with other people, and when that energy is returned it can be a beautiful thing.

Clearly, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine agree.

Blake and Adam have a history of playfully ribbing each other while on *The Voice*.

The two were famous for giving each other a hard time while being competing coaches on The Voice, often resorting to name calling or implying some unsavory things about each other. We honestly loved to see it, and it's a dynamic we'll miss a lot while Adam is taking a break from the show.

It's clear that that relationship extends beyond the cameras, as Blake shared in a hilarious tweet showing that Adam's band, Maroon 5, had the number two spot on iTunes behind Blake's own single with Gwen Stefani.

In his tweet showcasing this, Blake wrote, "My god Adam... You are still a pain in my ass!!!!! Go away idiot!!!!" and tagged Adam's twitter account.

Of course, Adam responded to Blake's tweet, in the same playful manner.

"Eat [expletive] cowboy! I'm comin' for ya!" Adam replied on his Instagram story, showing that he was willing to play along.

After Gwen Stefani re-shared Adam's post adding "Leave my boyfriend alone," Adam hilariously responded, "I will never leave him alone. He was my boyfriend first."

Of course, it didn't end there.

Blake shared on Twitter a fake Tweet from Adam's wife, Behati Prinsloo, where he had edited her username to read "iloveblake."

Adam reshared the tweet on his Instagram, writing "When your grampa discovers he can make fake tweets..."

We're so glad to see that their playful banter is still thriving beyond The Voice!
