Eminem Faces Backlash After Leaked Audio Saying He'd 'Side With Chris Brown' Over Rihanna

Eminem and Rihanna have had a pretty beneficial working relationship over the years, with multiple smash hit collaborations including 'Love The Way You Lie' and 'The Monster.' By all accounts, it looks like they're pretty good friends, too.

That's why some leaked audio of Eminem has caught people by surprise.

The audio was an unused line from his track 'Things Get Worse' with rapper B.O.B.

Though the audio, which was posted to Reddit, has now been deleted, reports are all consistent with what Eminem rapped in between copyright infringement prevention voiceovers.

"Of course I side with Chris Brown, I'd beat a [expletive] down too," Eminem allegedly raps in the clip.

'Things Get Worse' was originally a track planned for Eminem's 2009 album Relapse, which was released only months after Chris Brown was charged with felony assault on his girlfriend at the time, Rihanna.

Fans immediately started commenting on this leaked audio.

One fan wrote, "Eminem is fully a grown ass man yet has the nerve to treat Rihanna like [expletive] when she served vocals for him."

Some people pointed out this is par for the course for Eminem.

His controversial lyrics, especially those about women and violence, have landed him in hot water since the start of his career, so this isn't new territory for Eminem.

Others pointed out that this isn't even his first reference to Chris Brown.

On his song 'Won't Back Down' in 2010, he referenced the incident by mentioning 'Chris's force like you pissed him off.'

Some fans defended the line, saying that it wasn't released for a reason.

Fans defended Eminem, saying that not only was the song written from the perspective of his alter ego Slim Shady, but the lyrics were over a decade old and eventually he decided against using them.
