Priscilla Presley has denied any feud between her and her granddaughter, Riley Keough. There were rumors of an ongoing rivalry between the two in the battle over possession of Lisa Marie Presley’s estate. According to Priscilla Presley, there are no differences between her and her granddaughter, Riley Keough. It all started with a legal battle over Lisa Marie Presley’s estate.
Priscilla had an event in the UK called An Evening To Remember With Priscilla Presley. The event had a Q&A session, where Priscilla opened up about her relationship with Riley
ET spoke to a fan, Jackie Howse, that attended the event, and she shared some interesting insights about it. “She was absolutely lovely,” Howse told ET.
Priscilla got emotional at the event as fans offered their condolences over Lisa Marie’s death. She spoke up about coping with it and her relationship with Riley.
Lisa Marie died at the age of 54 in January earlier this year. She suffered from a full cardiac arrest at her residence in Calabasas, California.
Before this, the Presley family suffered the tragic loss of her son, Benjamin. He died from suicide at the age of 27.
Howse said that Priscilla Presley gave autographed books to the fans that attended the meet and greet. She said it was a “special surprise.”
"She came across as very gracious, a charming lady and very much like she cared about you, and she didn't come across at all, you know, 'I'm a celebrity' kind of thing," Howse added.
At the show's start, much home footage was put on screen. Fans also mentioned Priscilla and Riley’s feud.
The former wife of Elvis Presley immediately shot down the speculations. She informed the audience about her dinner with Riley just before coming to the UK.
"[Priscilla] just said, 'You know, I went to dinner with [her] before I came [here],'" Howse shared. "She said, 'Everything's good!'"
And about the feud, Howse said Priscilla noted, "That's not the case at all.” She denied the presence of any problems between the two.
"They weren't true," Priscilla responded, according to Howse, when asked about their ongoing rift. "It was very brief, but she just said, 'Don't believe what's been said.'”
According to Howse, Priscilla added, “Riley and I get along well.” Well, nothing is going on then.
Priscilla also got emotional when discussing Riley’s Daisy Jones & The Six. The Prime Video Series has gained immense success on the platform and has amassed a significant following.
Howse said that “She came across as being very proud.” She said, “I’m proud of her. Really proud of what she’s achieved.” Priscilla is very proud of her family.
There have been multiple reports about Priscilla and Riley having a complicated relationship. It amplified when Priscilla filed paperwork to challenge a 2016 amendment to Lisa Marie’s will.
Priscilla Presley filed the paperwork only two weeks after her daughter’s death. The amendment removed Priscilla and Lisa’s previous business manager, Barry Siegel, as co-trustees.
After removing Priscilla and Barry, Lisa Marie named her children Riley and Benjamin as the co-trustees. Benjamin died in 2020, and Riley became the estate's sole heir.
