Nick Lachey Court-Ordered To Attend AA Meetings And Anger Management

Last year, Nick became extremely angry after he noticed a woman filming him and his wife outside Mastro's in Beverly Hills following a night out. 

In the heat of the moment, Nick was captured on camera attempting to grab the woman's phone.

According to TMZ, the Los Angeles County District Attorney stated that Nick Lachey was not formally charged with any criminal offense. Instead, the D.A. offered Nick the option of participating in a diversion program, allowing him to avoid prosecution. 

To qualify for this program, Nick must attend Alcoholics Anonymous (A.A.) and anger management classes. If he completes these requirements, he will not face charges of assault and battery.

According to the Daily Mail, Jody Santos, the woman involved in the incident, expressed her thoughts on the matter, stating that Nick Lachey has had ample opportunity to apologize. 

Still, instead, he chose to ignore the situation, hoping it would go away. Instead, Santos asserted that Lachey's actions were unjustified, as all she was doing was photographing him. 

She further criticized Lachey's behavior, suggesting that his ego was inflated and that he should have been grateful for the publicity she had generated for him. 

Santos concluded that Nick's attempt to smash her car window with his fist was entirely inappropriate. Jody Santos firmly believes that Nick would have physically assaulted her if she had not raised her car window in time to protect herself. 

Santos claimed that Nick only received any punishment due to her accusations of preferential treatment from the district attorney's office. 

Santos asserted that she felt it was important to speak out and hold Nick accountable for his actions, and she hoped that by doing so, others would be encouraged to do the same when faced with similar situations.

Following the incident, Nick promptly apologized for his behavior, acknowledging that he should have handled the situation more appropriately.

Nick also expressed regret for his actions during an interview with a news outlet, stating that he deeply regretted how he reacted and was embarrassed by his behavior. 

Nick acknowledged that as a public figure, he should have known how to handle such situations more professionally, and he was committed to ensuring that such incidents never occur again. 

Nick also emphasized that he greatly respects his family's privacy and that he had a moment of lapse in judgment due to the invasion of their privacy.

Nick also acknowledged that his struggles with alcohol influenced his behavior, and he was committed to seeking help to address his addiction issues. 

He said he had entered rehab shortly after the incident and attended A.A. meetings regularly to address his alcohol dependency.

Nick is best known as a singer, actor, and television personality. He rose to fame as a member of the boy band 98 Degrees, which released several successful albums in the late 1990s and early 2000s. 

Nick also pursued a solo career. He released his debut album named, SoulO in 2003. In addition to his music career, Nick has also appeared in several television shows and films. 

Nick has also made guest appearances on several popular T.V. shows, including How I Met Your Mother, Charmed, and One Tree Hill. He has also acted in films such as Rise: Blood Hunter and The Hard Easy.
