Nick Cannon Dishes On Ex-Wife Mariah Carey: 'Not Human'

During an interview with The Shade Room on Saturday, Nick Cannon referred to his ex-wife, Mariah Carey, as the love of his life. When asked, "Who is the love of your life?" Nick responds with, "Like the greatest? I mean, I always talk about that."

Nick then talks about how Mariah and his fans get mad at him whenever he reminisces about their good time together. "Then it goes viral, and our fans get mad at me."

Speaking about his young crush on Carey, he talks about how he idolized her growing up. He says, "I was 12 years old with Mariah Carey pictures on my wall, and that becomes my wife."

Not holding back with the nice words for Carey in the interview, Nick calls his ex-wife the coolest person ever. In his exact words, after mentioning her as his young idol, he says, "And the fact that she's the coolest person I ever met."

The Wild' n' Out star acknowledges Carey's generous spirit while speaking with The Shade Room. He talks about how she's always happy and ready to help other people, which is something he got to learn from her.

Talking about how Carey significantly influenced him, Nick Cannon says he learned how to be a helpful hand from her. "I get a lot of this delightful disposition from her."

Nick really threw in a lot of compliments for Carey in this interview! In one moment, he talks about how she keeps the negative energy out while making everything seem okay. In his words, "No matter what's happening in life. I'm like, 'Wow, a person can really operate like that and don't allow negative energy into they space.'"

Adding words like "remarkable" and "a gift," Nick Cannon gave some lovely comments to Carey. Recalling his time with Carey, he says, "When I found that out about how remarkable she was, that woman is not human. She's a gift from God."

In 2019, Carey also shared some nice words about Nick with People while talking about their shared twins. She said, "I think Nick and I have done pretty well in co-parenting, staying friends with each other so that we can talk."

When asked if he'd like to return to how things were with Carey, Nick says he'd like a fairytale with her but is worried he might mess things up. "It was literally like a fairytale with Mariah, so I would rather it just be that way. I appreciate that fantasy because if I tried to go back and it wasn't the same, I'd be like, 'Damn, I messed it up.'"

Adding to his previous statement, Nick states that if things could be the way they used to be with her, he'll love to go back. In his words, "If I had the opportunity, if it could be the way it was, I'm there."

Sadly, Nick's hopes might not come to pass, at least not now. The Queen of Christmas has moved on from Nick and is currently in a 6-year relationship with 39-year-old backup dancer Bryan Tanaka.

The 42-year-old TV host's complimentary interview comes after reports of Mariah Carey seeking full custody of their shared children, Moroccan and Monroe.

A source close to Carey revealed to Radar Online that the All I Want For Christmas Is You singer already has the kids most of the time without Nick's involvement. "The reality of the situation is that they are usually with Mariah anyway. Nick doesn't see much of them."

In the same discussion with People back in 2019, when Carey visited Camp Mariah with her kids, she told reporters, "They're [her kids] a lot, but they give me so much love in return. I wouldn't be the same person without them."

Beginning the Mariah Carey talk with The Shade Room, Nick reiterates that he is a father of 12 kids. The interviewer asked him if he was lonely, and he said, "How Can I be lo..? I've got 12 kids. What do you think I am missing?"

Earlier this year, Nick shared an interview with Entertainment Tonight discussing his work-life and family balance. In that interview, Nick said his ultimate goal is to ensure all his kids have a bright future.

"Like, hopefully, because of what I am able to do, my kids can do whatever they want to do, to be able to be in a position that if they want to be a nuclear physicist, I know somebody at an Ivy League school that I could [hit up]."

Nick Cannon might move from 12 to 13 real soon! Earlier this month, the known rapper teased his followers on Instagram that he might be having another baby. He posted on his Instagram story a write-up reading, "EXPECT SOME BIG NEWS TOMORROW… 👀🍼"

Well, it will come as no surprise that another baby is coming because the TV host told Entertainment Tonight, "God decides when we're done," — referring to having more kids. Although he also stated his hands are full with his 12, there might be room for one more.
