Demi Moore Leads Family Singalong For Bruce Willis' Birthday

On March 19, 2023, Bruce turned 68 and various members of his family took to social media to wish him a happy birthday, including his ex-wife Demi. 

In an Instagram post, the 60-year-old actress shared a video of the entire family gathered around the Live Free or Die Hard star and singing happy birthday to him.

The clip also showed Bruce's current wife, Emma Heming, presenting him with a candlelit apple pie as well as an affectionate kiss on his cheek, while he was speaking.

Other family members like Bruce and Demi's three children, Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah, and the actor's two kids with his current wife, Mabel, and Evelyn joined in the celebration.

"Happy birthday, BW! So glad we could celebrate you today. Love you and love our family. Thank you to everyone for the love and warm wishes - we all feel them," Demi captioned the post.

A few hours after the actress shared the post, Emma posted a close-up snap of the delicious-looking apple pie. In a text overlay, the model noted that she had tried to make pumpkin pie, Bruce's favorite, but it was a no-go.

Emma then explained that apple pie was her husband's second favorite. She also described Bruce as "pure love," adding that she would be loving him always.

While Bruce's 68th birthday called for celebration, Emma had some moments of sadness. She shared an emotional video addressing the Moonlighting actor's devastating dementia diagnosis. 

In the clip, Emma revealed she began the morning by crying, which was obvious from her swollen eyes and snotty nose. She then told her fans that she felt it was important they saw all sides of what was happening.

Emma went on to confess that she frequently got messages from people, telling her she was a strong woman, but sadly, she wasn't given a choice, even though she wished otherwise.

As a result, the model said she had to put on her "big girl panties" and get to it. Emma also relayed that she had times of grief and sadness daily and was really feeling it on Bruce's birthday.

In a second video attached to the same post, Emma fought back tears as she described the montage she had been working on for her husband.

The mom of two said she had been working on a reel for Bruce's birthday, adding that watching the videos was like having a knife in her heart. 

But despite how painful the videos were, she had to compile them for herself and the fans. According to Emma, she knew how much fans loved her husband, which meant so much to her.

A few hours after the emotional video, Emma finally shared the reel she had spoken about soundtracked by Stevie Wonder's classic song, As.

In conclusion, Emma shared that her birthday wish for Bruce was for everyone to keep him in their prayers and highest vibrations because his sensitive "Pisces soul" would feel it.

In 2022, Bruce left his fans heartbroken when he revealed he was stepping away from the movie industry due to his aphasia diagnosis. Many had hoped for things to get better for the actor, but sadly, it was the opposite.

In February 2023, the actor's family shared that Bruce's condition had worsened and he was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia known as FTD.

Sadly, challenges with communication are just one symptom of the illness, which could take years to diagnose. However, Bruce's family, friends, and fans still hope for the best.
