The body of the 35-year-old was found outside an apartment building in Miami on March 8.
According to law enforcement sources, Last Wednesday, Thomas's body was found at a Miami apartment building. Police are still investigating, despite information to the contrary that he may have leaped from a balcony.
Although sources tell TMZ that the autopsy has been finished and the cause of death has not yet been revealed by the officials.
The Miami-based model, who had previously appeared in a number of commercials and catwalk shows, was signed to the London-based agency AMCK models.
His toned body made him stand out as the ideal underwear model, and his Instagram page was filled with numerous photos and videos of the fitness fanatic flaunting his body on the beach.
Only a few weeks before his passing on February 28, Thomas posted a video in which he could be seen exercising in a neighboring gym with a partial view of the Miami shoreline from a nearby window.
He captioned the video, saying;
"Set the tone with your warm up."
Two days before his body was found, on March 6, Thomas posted a picture of his most recent tattoo: the word "Resilience" inscribed into his lower-right arm.
While admitting the trip came during a busy time after a recent transfer from California to Florida, Thomas made a visit to his grandma that day in her Fort Lauderdale home.
His last post showed Thomas lounging in a plunge pool and was posted from a nearby spa.
However, we can't help but think deeply about the hashtags he added to the picture considering the speculations surrounding his death.
He captioned the post;
"A cold plunge a day, keeps the doctor away 💧 #coldplunge #wellness #mentalhealth"
Many people in the modeling industry flocked to social media as soon as word of his passing spread to pay tribute to Thomas on his farewell Instagram post from a week earlier.
Kris Haigh, vice president of Men's Design, wrote:
"I met you many years ago in NY. You never failed to bring an upbeat energy every time I saw you."
"My sweet Jeff. We were just making plans, you were just making jokes, we were just daydreaming about Europe together. It’s so hard to process, to think that there won’t be a next time."
A friend wrote.
While another also added;
"My beautiful best friend for life! Words don’t describe how special and magical you were. Your joy for life touched soooo many from coast to coast to around the world. You will be forever in my heart my dear friend. I love you!"
His Former Agent Gerald Frankowski was not left out in the comments as he also shared some heartfelt words:
"It was a pleasure to have been your agent. You did everything you needed to do to succeed in the biz."
"Frustrating at times but I knew your goals and your passion to get there. More important was the friendship we developed afterwards. Your heart was always in the right place. RIP."
In his last post, there have been over 300 comments on tributes to the late Model.
Some of the pictures on his page showed Thomas socializing with numerous A-list celebs, including pop artist and "The Masked Singer" judge Nicole Scherzinger, 44, and actress Megan Fox, 36.
