In what is a rare celebrity appearance, Riley Keough was spotted alongside her husband, Ben Smith-Petersen at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party on Sunday. Read more about the actor's recent roles and ongoing feud with grandmother, Priscilla Presley, below.

The Couple Steps Out

Riley Keough stepped out with her husband to attend the Vanity Fair Oscars Party 2023 with husband, Ben Smith-Petersen.

Turning Heads Everywhere

The couple managed to turn heads as they posed for pictures before entering the event. While Riley wore a gleaming sequin gown by Celine, Ben rocked the platform in an all-black suit.

Highlighting The Frame

The blinding floor-length frame highlighted her slender frame and beautifully complemented her sun-kissed complexion, while her brown locks loosely rested on her shoulders.

Another Popular Couple In Attendance

Also in attendance was Kaia Gerber and her beau Austin Butler, who played the role of Elvis Presley, Riley's grandfather, in the 2022 hit film Elvis.

Gushing Over The Performance

Riley labeled Butler's portrayal of the King of Rock as an "outstanding and incredible" performance, revealing that she was "in tears for a week" after watching the film.

A Trio Of Supporters

Riley, along with her mother, Lisa Marie Presley, and grandmother, Priscilla Presley, applauded Butler's dedication for the role and showed up at the Golden Globes in 2022 to extend their support as Butler won the award for Best Actor in A Drama Motion Picture.

An Unexpected Death

Lisa-Marie Presley unexpectedly died just two days after the event due to a cardiac arrest she suffered in her home in Calabasas.

A Quick Attachment

When Butler heard about the news he was devastated and spoke about Lisa, saying that he "never felt so close to somebody so quickly as I did to Lisa Marie."

At Odds With The Grandmother

Not even two months after her death, Riley and Priscilla Presley have been at odds with each other regarding Lisa's will.

A 2016 Amendment

Lisa amended her will in 2016 and removed her mother, Priscilla as the executor and instead named her children, Riley and Benjamin Keough, as the heirs to her estate. However, Benjamin committed suicide in 2020 leaving Riley as the only heir.

Lisa had two life insurances of $25 million and $10 million respectively. Apart from that her will includes the rights to 15% of shares in Elvis Presley Enterprises and her Graceland mansion.

Trying To Focus On The Present

Despite the unfortunate clash with her grandmother, Riley is determined to look forward and recently celebrated the success of her series Daisy Jones & the Six.

A Supportive Husband

Ben has been supporting Riley in the ongoing drama with her grandmother and said, "She is heartbroken that this has turned into a public matter and knows her mother would never want this."

He further stated that, "Riley is very stressed at the moment and has been trying to keep a positive attitude and outlook ahead of her new series coming out."

Paying Tribute To Her Grandfather

In episode 2 of her recent series, Daisy Jones and the Six, Riley can be seen paying tribute to her late grandfather by featuring the same red guitar strap that Elvis wore in his Comeback special in 1968.

Continuing The Legacy

Earlier last month, the 33-year-old actress spoke about her wishes to continue the family's musical legacy through the show.

Not Ready For The Pressure

She spoke to ET about the matter, saying "I don't know if there is continuing my grandfather's legacy, it’s its own sort of thing to me. But it was a really fun experience for me."

Not An Actual Musician

She further stated, "I'm not a musician -- or I am now I guess. I've been interested in film my whole life and so for me, it was more really loving to get to have a relationship with music in that way."

A Musical Journey

Talking about her musical journey, she revealed, "It's pretty amazing. I think we really came from not being able to play anything on a guitar or sing really, to having a full record going out which is, like, it's crazy to us I think."
