Don Lemon is still getting subtle hits despite having tendered a public apology for a remark he made about Nikki Haley some weeks back. At the just concluded Oscars, Michelle Yeoh, the Best Actress winner, appeared to poke fun at CNN's Don Lemon in her historic victory speech; however, the host blatantly ignored the jab on air Monday morning.

For her breakthrough work in "Everything Everywhere All At Once," 60-year-old Malaysian-born Yeoh became the first Asian actor and only the second woman of color to win in the category.

Although, The CNN news anchor referred to Sunday's (12 March) accomplishments as a "great night for Asians and Asian Americans" during his morning program on Monday (13 March).

The obvious criticism that many viewers felt the Oscar winner was making of him in her remarks went unmentioned by Lemon.

Yeoh's Advice To Ladies

Taking to the stage, Yeoh appeared to be criticizing Lemon's previous comments about women on Hollywood's largest stage on Sunday, saying,

"Ladies, don't let anybody tell you you're ever past your prime."

Lemon's Reaction On Yeoh's Milestone

"The moment that I related to the most, is when Ke Huy Quan said my 80-year-old mother is at home watching," Lemon continued. "He said, 'Look, Mom! I won an Oscar!' You can't help but tear up at that moment and relate to it."

A Plus To The Asian Community

Lemon noted the recent hate crimes against the Asian community before describing the ceremony as "particularly re-affirming" for Asian Americans.

Yeoh's Words Of Inspiration

As part of her acceptance speech, the 60-year-old took time out to share some words of inspiration.

"For all the little boys and girls who look like me watching tonight, this is the beacon of hope and possibilities"

She continued;

"This is proof. Dream big. And dreams do come true. And ladies, don't let anybody tell you you are ever past your prime. Never give up."

How Lemon Got Into Trouble

Lemon faced criticism in February for comments he made in which he implied that Nikki Haley, a presidential candidate for the Republican party, was past her prime because she wasn't in her twenties and thirties.

He Later Regretted Making Those Remarks

Lemon issued a statement regretting his "inartful and irrelevant" remarks, which many viewed as "sexist" and "misogynistic," following criticism from his CNN This Morning co-host Poppy Harlow.

A Second Apology

He later issued a second apology, saying:

“To my network, my colleagues and our incredible audience – I’m sorry. I’ve heard you, I’m learning from you, and I’m committed to doing better. See you soon.”

Yeoh's scathing statement was picked up on by several commenters on social media, who detected the obvious taunt right away.

A Fan Thinks Yeoh's Speech Wasn't To Take A Swipe At Don Lemon

Others, on the other hand, weren't entirely certain that Yeoh's remarks were intended for Lemon, 57, and instead conjectured that they were mere words of inspiration from a lady who won her first Oscar later in life.

Lemon's misogynistic outburst quickly received criticism from both sides of the political spectrum. Chris Licht, the CEO of CNN, then reprimanded the host, and "CNN This Morning" suspended Lemon for three days.

While on his vacation the Tv personality took some time to visit the Miami beach with his boo where they sunbathed and enjoyed the view.

Underwent Formal Training

Lemon apparently underwent "formal training" before returning to his show on February 22.

Don Lemon is currently performing his duties, despite TMZ's claims that he is on thin ice at CNN and that, although being welcomed back, he is only one strike away from being fired permanently.
