Twins in Trouble? Michael Lockwood To Represent Lisa Marie Presley's Twins In Court

 Lockwood, 61, who was married to Lisa from 2006 to 2021, requested a judge to grant him 

"guardian ad litem" as well as the authority to speak on behalf of his twins, Harper and Finley. The guitarist's request comes after Lisa Marie death following a fatal cardiac arrest.

Per DailyMail The late singer and songwriter possessed two life insurance policies, one for $25 million and another one for $10 million. After her death, the trust became a major point of dispute between her family members, including Lisa's mother Priscilla Presley, 77, and her eldest daughter Riley Keough, 33.

In light of all these, Lockwood is siding with Priscilla. Prior to Lisa's passing, Priscilla took sides with him when he and Lisa were locked in a messy custody battle. During her memorial service, Priscilla also made sure he attended even against Riley's wish.

Lisa originally left her trust fund to her mother, Priscilla, but she replaced her mother years before she died. The mom-of-four adjusted her will in 2016, making her two adult children Riley and Benjamin Keough her only heirs.

However, in 2020, Riley became the sole heir after Benjamin's tragic death. Now with Lisa dead, Priscilla is disagreeing with the arrangement which left her completely out of the will.

 A few weeks after Lisa's tragic passing at the age of 54, Priscilla filed legal documents challenging the Idiot singer's trust. The older lady claims that she has been pushed out and replaced.

Reports showed that Priscilla is asking a judge to quash the change which eliminates her as a trustee. She claimed she was removed as a trustee with an 'inconsistent' signature which is used to approve documents.

The amendment is said to have ruled out Lisa's mother and her former business manager, Barry Siegel, as trustees. Lisa, who is the only daughter of Priscilla and Elvis Presley, cut ties with Seigel after accusing him of mismanaging her assets.

According to the court's filing, the date of the purported trust amendment was added via pdf on March 14. It was also noted that Priscilla's name was misspelled in the amended document.

The legal filing states: "Lisa Marie Presley appointed her mother, Petitioner, and her former business manager, Barry Siegel, as co-Trustees effective as of the date of the 2010 restatement." The 2010 restatement also states that Lisa's mother and Siegel shall continue to serve as co-Trustees upon Lisa Marie Presley's subsequent incapacity or death.

Other issues surrounding the authenticity and validity of the 2016 amendment, include Lisa's inconsistency with her usual and customary signature. The change was also not witnessed or notarized.

Lisa was known to many as the daughter of the "King of Rock and Roll," Elvis, who also became a musician, but in her lifetime she was also a mother to four kids. Lisa welcomed daughter, Riley, and son, Benjamin, with her ex-husband, Danny Keough.

She and Danny were married from 1988 to 1994. The Dirty Laundry singer later married Lockwood and welcomed her twins Harper Finley in 2018. Although the music star was separated from the fathers of her children she continued to be a loving mother to her kids. During her lifetime, Lisa was also married to the late pop star, Michael Jackson, and star actor Nicolas Cage.

 While Lisa was alive her kids were her priority. She once described herself as "ferociously protective" when it comes to her children. In an interview back in 2014, the doting mom revealed that she cared the most about her kids.

For this reason, she loved keeping them close, making sure they are happy and healthy.

The musician's son's death by suicide, left her devastated. She opened up about the painful event about two years after by posting a tribute on Benjamin's birthday and writing an emotional essay for People.

Lisa noted that her son adored his sisters and he made it clear in his last moments that his sister's well-being was at the forefront of his mind. Lisa revealed at the time that it was challenging to keep going without her son but she stayed strong for her girls.

Lisa collapsed at her home in Calabasas, California two days after attending the 2023 Golden Globes. She was hospitalized for a short while before news broke that she died on January 12.

Her mother confirmed the death during an interview where she described her daughter as the most passionate, strong, and loving woman she had ever known. 

Following the songstress' passing, Lisa's daughter Riley shared a photo of the music star and noted that she feels blessed to have a photo of the last time she saw her mother. Her ex-husband, Lockwood, has also noted that their twins would carry on the family legacy.

A few weeks after her passing, a public memorial was held in honor of her lifetime with celebrities and close pals like Sarah Ferguson in attendance. Lisa Marie was buried close to her late son, Benjamin and dad, Elvis Presley.
