Mystery Surrounds Hong Kong Model's Disappearance - Her Remains Found in Fridge and Soup Pot

Model, influencer, and social media star Abby Choi, 28, lived a glamorous life, including fashion shows and photo sessions. She was a big deal in the fashion industry and had around 100K followers on Instagram.

Several foreign publications, including Elle, Harper's Bazaar, and Vogue, have also highlighted Abby Choi, dubbed "one of the most sought-after influencers in the industry."

Abby married Alex Kwong when she was only 18 years old and very much in love. The two kids he had with the Chinese model have grown up gracefully and are 10 and 8 years old. With her current spouse, Tam Chuk Kwan, also known as Chris, Choi has two additional children.

According to a complaint submitted subsequently to the Hong Kong Police, Abby Choi vanished on February 21. Her last in-person encounter was at a Dior show hosted in Paris during a fashion week.

On February 19, she uploaded a post showcasing a picture session she had carried out with fashion publication L'Officiel Monaco.

After having no information regarding Choi's whereabouts, Bernard Cheng, a friend of Ms. Choi, stated that he initially believed she had been abducted. According to Mr. Cheng, Ms. Choi had close contact with her family members and frequently traveled with the families of both her current and previous marriages.

It has been established that the discovered human remains, which included a head, ribcage, and legs in a fridge in Hong Kong, belonged to model Abby Choi.

According to an informant who spoke to the South China Morning Post, DNA testing has proven that the disturbing find at home in the Lung Mei Tsuen neighborhood comprised Ms. Choi's body parts.

Upon further investigation of the evidence, the authorities think that a hole in her skull towards the rear reveals the location of the fatal blow.

The plan is to collect the remaining pieces of her body for now. The inquiry into the gruesome homicide is ongoing, and investigators are desperately looking for Ms. Choi's body and hands in several places.

Following the case evidence, the investigators have compiled a list of several people involved in the murder. A seventh suspect is detained simultaneously on suspicion of helping a criminal in connection with the murder.

The 29-year-old citizen of Hong Kong was arrested on Tuesday in Shenzhen, China's mainland, and allegedly handed up to law enforcement at a border crossing. The defendant is accused of putting together a boat to help murder suspect Alex Kwong flee the city.

Choi's ex-husband Kwong, 28, was accused of killing Ms. Choi with his dad Kwong Kau and his brother Anthony Kwong. Police prosecuted them after discovering her remains in a home leased by Kwong Kau in a Hong Kong district near the Chinese border.

Jenny Li, the mother of Alex Kwong, Choi's ex-mother-in-law, is charged with one count of perverting the course of justice. They were all held without bond. They still need to enter pleas, and it doesn't appear that their counsel has discussed the case with the public. The hearing was put off until May.

Police also detained a 41-year-old male on suspicion of encouraging criminal behavior on Thursday. According to authorities, a different lady arrested for allegedly helping another accused was freed on bond and awaiting more inquiry.

In a case like this, all rumors are considered at one point in case some turn out to be the truth and help with the issue. The force had claimed she was rumored to have an affair with the ex-husband's father.

According to authorities, Ms. Choi and her ex-husband and his family were involved in financial issues totaling tens of millions of Hong Kong dollars, and some persons' were not pleased with how Ms. Choi managed her funds.

Now it has just come to light that the socialite's mom has filed a lawsuit seeking an order to prevent her child's ex-father-in-law from selling a luxury apartment for HK$73 million (US$9.4 million) that Ms. Choi reportedly purchased in his name.

At the time, Superintendent Alan Chung said that "cold-blooded killers" were responsible for the murder. “Tools used to dismember human bodies were found in the flat, including meat grinders, chainsaws, long raincoats, gloves, and masks.”
