According to a complaint submitted subsequently to the Hong Kong Police, Abby Choi vanished on February 21. Her last in-person encounter was at a Dior show hosted in Paris during a fashion week.

On February 19, she uploaded a post showcasing a picture session she had carried out with fashion publication L'Officiel Monaco.

After having no information regarding Choi's whereabouts, Bernard Cheng, a friend of Ms. Choi, stated that he initially believed she had been abducted. According to Mr. Cheng, Ms. Choi had close contact with her family members and frequently traveled with the families of both her current and previous marriages.

The Findings

It has been established that the discovered human remains, which included a head, ribcage, and legs in a fridge in Hong Kong, belonged to model Abby Choi.

According to an informant who spoke to the South China Morning Post, DNA testing has proven that the disturbing find at home in the Lung Mei Tsuen neighborhood comprised Ms. Choi's body parts.

Following the case evidence, the investigators have compiled a list of several people involved in the murder. A seventh suspect is detained simultaneously on suspicion of helping a criminal in connection with the murder.

Latest Arrest

The 29-year-old citizen of Hong Kong was arrested on Tuesday in Shenzhen, China's mainland, and allegedly handed up to law enforcement at a border crossing. The defendant is accused of putting together a boat to help murder suspect Alex Kwong flee the city.

Ex-Husband's Involvement

Choi's ex-husband Kwong, 28, was accused of killing Ms. Choi with his dad Kwong Kau and his brother Anthony Kwong. Police prosecuted them after discovering her remains in a home leased by Kwong Kau in a Hong Kong district near the Chinese border.

Jenny Li, the mother of Alex Kwong, Choi's ex-mother-in-law, is charged with one count of perverting the course of justice. They were all held without bond. They still need to enter pleas, and it doesn't appear that their counsel has discussed the case with the public. The hearing was put off until May.

Police also detained a 41-year-old male on suspicion of encouraging criminal behavior on Thursday. According to authorities, a different lady arrested for allegedly helping another accused was freed on bond and awaiting more inquiry.
